Ebi promises his friend (Essi) to take care of his beloved girl (Maryam) while he is in the prison. Ebi unexpectedly falls in love with Maryam and that complicates the situation.

REQUIEM begins as Nasrollah, just released from prison, returns home to discover that his mother has died while he was incarcerated. Nasrollah hits the streets looking for work, but finding none he resumes his previous life as a street peddler.
