Guin Poon Chaw

In the spring of 1998, 15-year-old Koichi Sakakibara's father goes abroad and he goes to live with his aunt Reiko. Not long after he moves in, he has a pneumothorax attack and becomes hospitalized. At the elevator in the hospital, Koichi meets a girl wearing a uniform and an eye patch. He just stares at her. In his new school, he finds the pretty girl, Mei is also in his class. Koichi doesn't feel comfortable because his classmates and even his teacher act like the girl doesn't exist. (imdb)

A seventy-year-old widowed man named Daikichi lives on a small island with his beloved pet cat. He is a local, a native, enjoys his home and spending time with that cat and old friends. His own son has done what many local youngsters have. The son has moved to Tokyo.
