They come to a statue of Sindbad, the world's greatest sailor, and ask Popeye to explain, since *he* is supposed to be the world's greatest sailor. He explains by telling the story of the time he met Sindbad, as seen in part of the earlier short Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor (1936). They review scenes from "Casper's Spree Under The Sea," "Once Upon A Rhyme" and "To Boo Or Not To Boo." Eventually Casper himself emerges from a poster on the wall and scares the writers away. Casper explains that he thought up that gag to end the cartoon!

Moe the Hare (aka The Rapid-and-sometimes Rabid Rabbit)breaks out of jail so he can hustle down the road and marry his sweetheart. But, Tommy the Tortoise, an officer of the law who is a stickler that thinks jail-prisoners should remain in jail, turtles down the road after Moe. And he dogs after Moe, in his own fashion, until he returns Moe to jail...and winds up with Moe's girlfriend in the process.

A band of little mice have come out to play and to enjoy the pleasures offered at the seashore. Bluto, the daring hot air balloon rider, catches the eye of Olive at a carnival, much to Popeye's chagrin. Bluto manages to make Popeye look bad several times, eventually winning a ring at the ball toss and taking her up in his balloon. The Queen Bee is busily supervising the production of honey in a modern Bee-Hive plant equipped with some unusual gadgets. The policeman, forgetting he can't swim, dives in to rescue the little girl. Audrey saves herself, and, seeing the police officer in danger, has the zoo elephants drain the lake. The grateful cop stops street traffic to play baseball with Audrey.

A view of pre-historic days when the dinosaurs were the beasts of burden for the cavemen, and slapstick gags on that premise, that provides the cue for the introduction of the bouncing ball to come along and ask the theatre audience to sing along on "Sweet Adeline."

Singalong with spot gags about forest animals. Mr. Sun goes down, Mr. Owl perches in his tree with his songbook. He leads and has all the forest creatures singing and playing music. After a couple of choruses, Mr. Owl suggests: "Why don't you all join in? Just follow the bouncing ball."
