Jayadevan (Dileep), who is after someone named Ananthan, is himself on the run from two thugs & seeks refuge with his friends Hariprasad (Sainuddin), Bahuleyan (Harisree Asokan) & Premadasan (Jagadish). When Jayadevan learns that the granddaughter Athira (Divya Unni) of Neelakantan Vaidyar (Captain Raju), who owned the Ayurveda ashram where his friends work, is the lover of Ananthan, Jayadevan decides to pretend to be a Swami to infiltrate the ashram & to get close to Athira & hence to Ananthan.
Josekutty (Prithviraj), an auto rickshaw driver & the sole support of a struggling family, agrees to marry a wealthy single mother of the Mekloth family, Nancy (Kaveri), mistaking her to be the girl he was secretly attracted to (Kavya Madhavan). His friend, Paappikunju (Harisree Asokan), also cook up a lie that Josekutty is the father of the child, to make his family agree to the marriage. However, Nancy commits suicide the day before the wedding, now Josekutty has to accept & rear the toddler.
Nandagopal aka Nandu (Narein) gets sent by his uncle Shankaran Nair (Janardanan) to the village of Kalimuthuppalayam in Tamil Nadu to sell Nandu's father's house & after some initial failed attempts at selling it, Nandu decides to stay on & brings his mother & sister to live with him. He gets into a quarrel with a local bigwig & criminal Nachiappa (Rama Reddy), who starts to make life difficult for Nandu. After several instances of defeat & humiliation, his mother demands that Nandu fight back.
Unnikrishnan (Dileep), an orphan & someone convicted as a juvenile, saves Qasim Baba's (Lal) life from a group of killers. Unnikrishnan assumes the name of Salaam as per advice from Baba & joins Baba's forces. Suleiman (Shammi Thilakan), Baba's nephew, murders Baba & puts the blame on Salaam & he gets sentenced to life. In jail, he joins up with 3 of his old pals from the juvenile home & plans to get back at Suleiman. Soon, Baba's old right-hand men also learns of Salaam's innocence & joins him.
Madhavan Nair (Thilakan), a cabby, & his wife Bharathi (Kaviyoor Ponnamma), have 4 children - Prasad (Manian Pillai Raju), Santhosh (Baiju), Urmila (Renuka) & Geetha (Urvashi). Being forced out of their rented house by their landlord Kikkili (Meena), Madhavan is forced to buy some land & build a house of their own. However, at the time of their need, all their ungrateful children & their spouses, except for Geetha, turn their backs on Madhavan & Bharathi, leaving them to fend for their own.
Nandagopal aka Nandu (Jayaram) & wife Indira (Kanaka) are lecturers in the same college, but poles apart in personality. Nandu is outgoing & freely mingles with the students, whilst Indira is stern & keeps a distance from everyone. Indira's sternness riles 3 unruly girl students - Monica (Sonia), Reshma & Priya (Thezni Khan) - who, along with their male pals, fabricate an affair between Nandu & Ganga (Chippy), another girl student, causing discord in Nandu's & Indira's life & driving them apart.
Vijay Krishnan (Vineeth) comes to Germany to visit his best friend Mahesh Menon (Kunchako Boban) & wife Veena (Preeti Jhangiani), after his lover Neena (Praveena) dies of cancer. There, mistaking Veena's friendliness towards him, Vijay develops an attraction towards her, which soon develops into an obsession.
Achuthankutty (Suresh Gopi) has decided to forgo marriage to protest against his friend Najeeb (Mukesh) who ran away with his sister Athira (Surabhi), while Najeeb is trying to get Achuthankutty married, to clear his name. They both get invited to Kanchipuram, to manage the wedding of heiress Meenakshi (Muktha George). There, circumstances force Meenakshi to turn down her marriage & declare that she has an affair with Achuthankutty. Now Achuthankutty has to clear his name in 7 days or marry her.
After a photographer, Sabu (Boban Alumoodan), dies in a fight & he is blamed for it, Solomon (Dileep) runs away to the remote Karnataka village of Kannadahalli to hide out in the house of two spinster sisters, Anna (Sharada) & Alice John (Bharathi), who used to care for him when he was young. There, after some initial spats, Solomon is drawn close to the sisters' home nurse Sophia (Navya Nair). However, time starts running out for Solomon, while unbeknown to him, Sophia carries a tragic secret.
Prakashan (Jayasurya), more interested in loafing around & dreaming of his childhood love Ponnu (Roma), rather than do any work, finally gets his wish when Ponnu's arranged marriage gets called off due to a misunderstanding involving him & finally she decides that she would marry Prakashan. However, the night of the marriage, his dreams are shattered when he is accused of rigging the mishap which caused Ponnu's first marriage to get called off, & shunned by everyone, he is forced to leave town.
Madhavan (Kalabhavan Mani), a do-gooder of the affluent Nandiledathu family, enjoyed the respect & love of the villagers, but his charitable mentality doesn't bode well with his siblings who accuse him of wasting the family wealth. Forced to leave home, a hurt Madhavan travels to Palani where he meets an old acquaintance Vishwanatha Menon (Murali). Vishwanatha Menon shortly dies, but leaves behind his family with a ton of debt which Madhavan takes it upon himself to settle.
Overly superstitious school teacher Sadanandan's (Dileep) world is shattered after charlatan astrologer Mannunnikkavu Krishnanunni (Jagathi Sreekumar) "predicts" his death in a little over a month. Scrambling to secure his wife Sumangala's (Kavya Madhavan) & their daughter's futures, Sadanandan, & later Sumangala too after she learns of the "prediction", count their days with heavy hearts.
Mentally challenged Kuttan (Kalabhavan Mani) dotes over his cousin Nandinikutty (Nandini) who he wishes to marry, but Nandinikutty has nothing but disdain for him. Entrapped in Neelakantan (Rajan P. Dev) & son Shekarankutty's (Suresh Krishna) evil plans, Nandinikutty loses her house & her grandmother. Out on the streets, Kuttan comes to her aid. After realizing how much Kuttan cared for her, Nandinikutty starts loving him back & teaches him to stand up against Neelakantan & Shekarankutty.
Ramesh Prasad (Manikuttan) who dotes over his single-mother Nandini (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) who had brought him up after his father's suicide, looses his cool in a college function after Home Minister Nateshan slanders Nandini & beats up Nateshan. With the cops & Nateshan's party members out for Ramesh's blood, he is protected by Lekha (Madhumitha) & Julie (Honey Rose), 2 best friends who were also his best friends. That same night, Nateshan is murdered & the blame for that too falls on Ramesh.
Rajalakshmi (Suhasini), an unwilling young lady & the daughter of a late popular politician, is drawn into politics after she is asked to run for office as an MLA by her family & the ruling party. She wins & soon after, a ton of responsibilities land on her shoulders. Seeing the plight of her constituents at the hands of the local crime boss Krishnamoorthy, who had the cops & the politicians on his payroll, Rajalakshmi starts a crusade to bring him to justice.
16 years after their son Rajan (Suresh Gopi) is forced to leave home for the US, Rajasekharan Thampi (Nedumudi Venu) & his wife Subadra (Bharathi) still pine for his return. When Thampi's 60th birthday comes up, & Rajan's daughter Raji (Meena) shows up as an unexpected guest, Thampi puts up a facade of unpleasantness, but later gives in & warms up to Raji. Now Thampi & Subadra also prepare to meet their son Rajan, but Raji carries a heavy secret in her heart - that her parents are no more.
Local school teacher Kannan (Siddique) has Mathukutty (Jayaram), a Christian street musician, pretend to be Sethumadhavan, a qualified Hindu bandmaster for his school band, which lead them to tell many lies to keep the act up. Jealous of being upended as the guy who brought in the bandmaster & got brownie points from the headmistress Gomathi (K.P.A.C. Lalitha), school peon Pushkaran (Jagadish), in cahoots with Gomathi's henpecked husband Govindan (Jagathi), launch a crusade to expose Mathukutty.
Ananthan Pillai (Thilakan) & Achuthan Pillai (Thilakan) are identical twins with the former a cop & the latter a thief. Ananthan witnesses a murder committed by Basheer (Ravindran), the spoiled son of businessman Sulaiman (V.K. Sriraman), which Ananthan refuses to back down from testifying in court. Sulaiman gets Ananthan killed, but Ananthan's & Achuthan's families pretend that it was actually Achuthan who got killed, & Achuthan dons the guise of Ananthan, to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Reena (Malavika Nair), a young servant girl has been disfigured in an acid attack, & in the ensuing investigation by the cops, two key figures are interrogated - one is Benny (Mithun Murali), an employee at a neighborhood gas station who was in love with Reena, & the other, Aarthi (Samskruthy Shenoy), a schoolgirl & Reena's employers' daughter. Both interrogations tell parallel stories which lead up to unraveling the reasons behind the attack on Reena.
Rich heiress Nandini Menon (Mohini) returns from Canada to much fanfare from her extended family, but unbeknown to her, they had been plotting to usurp her wealth, with her cousin Rajendran (Kumarakom Raghunath) leading the charge. After an attempt on her life, Nandini loses her memory & is picked up & hidden by Prasad (Dileep), who had a spot spot for her, & his friend Freddy (Kalabhavan Mani). Soon Rajendran finds out & a tug of war ensues between Prasad & Rajendran to get custody of Nandini.
