Robert is visiting his ailing wife in a nursing home during Thanksgiving Day but when it is time for him to leave he has problems getting a taxi home due to an intense snow storm. Catherine, a doctor at the medical facility, offers him a ride. On their way the car gets stuck and they have to overnight in an empty cabin nearby which they bond during that one special night.
