This telling of the story of Jack the Ripper focuses not on the killings as much as on the aristocratic lives of the people connected to the heir-apparent to the throne of England... who of course is the Ripper. A letter is found by a demolition worker that reveals a cover up and a murder that is over 30 years old. The victim is the author of the letter that also contains evidence that leads to the killers. The demolition worker and his wife complicate things when they decide to blackmail the killers, who are wealthy and upstanding citizens of the community, of course.
