Biography: The most prominent film director prewar period in Poland. He studied at the music school and then philosophy and chemistry at the Jagiellonian University. His career in cinema began as an assistant director in Vienna. After the war, he made several films in Israel. In the 50s he moved to Hollywood, where he worked with television.
