Sam Stewart is the chief of the only Clinic in Hope Island located in the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. While serving as a doctor treating locals and tourists she works with high venom species extracting their venom to try to cure difficult diseases. She works with a crew of nurses, relates with some locals, and tries to raise as a single mother to one teenager kid. Besides that, her boss in the mainland is her ex-husband.

When his best friend Mapplethorpe dies suddenly in an abandoned park, Chester discovers that his friend now "lives" with other children in the park, leading them to reestablish their friendship as they go through a difficult adolescence. (imdb)
