Canadian Mounties Corporal Rod Webb and Constable Mike Kelly, along with Rod's dog Chinook, are sent to the Blackfoot Crossing country to find the killer of trapper Antonie Dubois, and also to investigate reports of illegal deals in beaver pelts. Mike, a rookie, is delighted with the assignment as it takes him to his home country where he again sees Sandra Dubois, his childhood sweetheart. (imdb)

Set in the 1870s and 1880s, the series starred the Oklahoma native Dale Robertson as special agent Jim Hardie, noted at the time as "the left-handed gun". The series was influenced by the biography of Wells Fargo detective Fred J. Dodge.

A young woman teaches herself to become a sharpshooter so she can hunt down the three men who murdered her parents. She finds a sheriff who is willing to help her track them down.
