The world goes into panic when it is discovered that the Telestar satellite has gone missing. It turns out that Astronut has taken it out of orbit because it was getting in his way on his spaceship. As Oscar tries to return it to authorities two thieves steal the satellite and holds it for $2 million ransom. Astronut and Oscar tracks them down to their hideout, but a shootout ensues. Deputy Dawg is a dim witted Southern lawman, who, despite his own ineptitude, always manages to catch the bad guy.

Deputy Dawg tries to prevent a troublemaking Native American chief from stealing from the Henhouse, the Watermelon Patch and the Priceless Persimmon Tree. Big Chief No Treaty also catches fish without a license. When he captures Big Chief No Treaty, the sheriff orders the chief set free so that a peace treaty can be signed between the chief and the town council. Muskie and Vince decide to steal more eggs from the henhouse disguised as Big Chief No Treaty.

Tired of being a vegetarian, Sidney goes after some "meat," but he finds out that he doesn't have the heart to kill his friends.

Katnip is the surprised guest on a "This Is Your Life" type of TV show, "This Was Your Life." Buzzy the Crow; Rueben, Dueben and Louie; Spike the Cat; and Herman the mouse are guests. Scenes are used from "A Bicep Built For Two," "Cat-Choo," "Mousetro Herman" and "Drinks On The Mouse." Katnip has a chance to recall all the big events of his past. At first, it's a thrill. Then there's smoldering anger as he sees Butch take his true love from him and Herman give him a hard time as well.

Katnip, the mean Kat, is chasing a group of nice little mice, who are playing and having fun in a toy shop, until Herman, the good mouse,appears in the uniform of a sergeant in the U. S. Army, who has come home on a furlough. Because Katnip has had military training, Herman puts him through a few military exercises, and eliminate the chance that Katnip will be in shape to bother the little mice when Herman's furlough is over. Caster the Friendly Ghost, and world-traveler, visits a castle in England which is haunted by a really-old titled ghost, who is forced to remain until an heir can be found to replace him, and he can go to the Ghost Retiremnt Home. Casper, always obliging to a fault, volunteers to search for one, and finds an infant heir in a ghost orphanage, thereby enabling the old ghost to take his stock options and retire.

When the citizens decide to each enter an animal in the County Fair contest, Casper picks a pig as his choice, though the pig is not real happy leaving his mud puddle.

Two writers at Paramount Cartoon Studios try to think of good stories for Casper the Friendly Ghost. They review scenes from "Casper's Spree Under The Sea," "Once Upon A Rhyme" and "To Boo Or Not To Boo." Eventually Casper himself emerges from a poster on the wall and scares the writers away. Casper explains that he thought up that gag to end the cartoon!

Herman the mouse and his little mice pals are having a good time in River City's pool-hall, that doesn't have a billiards table anywhere in it...and that spells trouble when mice are playing pocket pool, and it soon arrives in the form of Katnip Kat looking to cause some disturbance. But, having just read a horror book, Katnip is a bit off his usual game and is a bit nervous. Herman, crafty as ever, plays on these fears and Katnip is scared off. (imdb)

Snardley, a crooked butler, learns that the only thing between him and a fortune is a little cat, Kitty Kuddles, to whom a wealthy spinster has willed her estate. The butler tries to kill the wealthy cat.

It's the night of the Big Fight between Tommy Tortoise and Michael "Moe" Hare. Tommy takes a beating at first and "Moe" knocks him through the "screen" onto the the animator's table, where Tommy learns what strategy and weapons "Moe" will be using in the fight. Since his shell is good protection, Tommy produces two more shells and "Moe" is soon confused by having to play the old shell game. (imdb)

Captain Benedict kidnaps Hector Heathcote and his talking dog Winston, and he forces them to join his crew. Captain Benedict is on the trail of Moby Dick, the great white whale. Every time Hector loads the cannon, it rolls and points toward his own captain. Despite his incompetence and his seasickness, Hector not only captures the whale, but the pair also manages to get off the boat and turn Captain Benedict over to the law at the next port.

Hector is working his crops. When a bird flies over, he gets a desire to fly, too. He finds an eagle's nest. As he is getting lessons from a baby eagle, the mother appears. She is not happy with Hector. Not to be outdone, Hector builds himself a flying machine. It doesn't fly. Then he ties himself to a kite and to a horse. He flies... right into a tree.

A tour of the state of Maine with comic undertones: “modern” tree cutting, lobster fishing and moose hunting. In Bar Harbor, the boats get plastered after being filled up with their choice of gin, rum and rye. The “Lobster Pot” nightclub has a “one fin” cover charge. “The Stein Song” is included as a singalong.

The vegetables and fruits stage a vaudeville show that headlines such acts as The Cabbage Brothers, Miss Rosie Apple, and the Nacy Beans who do a hornpipe dance. The really-Big Show opens with Carrot Crooner crooning "Let's Get Lost," while a couple of Peaches swoon. Comedian Corn Cob's act is so corny that he is razzed by the Berries, sitting in a prominent box.

A re-working (uncredited) of a 1930 Fleischer cartoon which visits the insect world and shows a dragon-fly who breathes fire, a horse-fly that whinnies and sports a saddle, and a raccoon-coat carried away by moths. A flashing glow worm, getting ready for a night out on the town, leads to the "follow-the-bouncing-ball" request to the audience to join in on a sing-along of "Glow Worm."

All the animals are having a jolly-good time at the county fair; the ducks are riding the ferris-wheel while the elephants are quaffing peanuts, and a real-friendly cow is selling kisses at a buck each, and getting some takers. All the animals than go boat riding but are caught in a sudden rainstorm, which is the cue for the bouncing-ball to come bouncing along, and ask the audience to follow-the-bouncing-ball in group-singing "Wait 'till the Sun Shines, Nellie."

This "depicts" the development of the American railroad, in cartoon (kartune) form from 1829 into the 1950s. When it gets to the streamliner era, they bring out the bouncing-ball which invites the audience to join in singing "I've Been Working on the Railroad."
