Tables are turned in Kangaroo Court, when an L.A. police officer is captured by a violent street gang. The gang's charismatic leader agrees to put Officer Arete (Michael O'Keefe) on trial for his life. A makeshift courtroom is set up in an abandoned warehouse. Determined to provide a fair trial, despite fellow gang members demanding revenge, he brings in a high-powered attorney (Gregory Hines) to defend the officer.

The Hoop Life is a show based on the lives of professional basketball players off the court. It is centered around the fictional UBA (United Basketball Association) and it follows the lives of three players from one of the teams, The New England Knights - Greg Marr, Marvin Buxton, and high school phenom Curtis Thorpe. You see the characters and how they react to the money, the pressure, and the subsequent fame.
