Historical drama. In 19th century Rome, Cecilia, an innkeeper, is famed for the dish she cooks for the guests known as Carbonara, which is also the name given to the revolutionaries who frequent Cecilia's inn and who belong to the secret society of the Carbonari, intent on uniting Italy as a republic.
