Three stories of people inside a catastrophe - a film about relief-aid and a journey to self-discovery. Three young German students are sent as volunteers to the disaster area in Sri Lanka after the 2004 Tsunami. At the same time, in German suburbia, Jan Heinrich has built up the world's largest private Internet archive on the Tsunami disaster. Alison volunteers as a nurse. Her diary draws an inside view on the horror and suffering of this human catastrophe.
