In the 30th century, time travel becomes illegal after a time paradox crisis. The Time Protection Department (TPD) is established to watch for and stop time crimes. Four new enlistee cadets of the TPD are tricked by Don Dolnero and his gang into letting them time-travel to the year 2000 to commit various crimes and, to protect history, the four cadets pursue them. Akane moves from Tokyo to a small island where she works as a waitress serving the fishermen. People like her and glad she has made the move. Satsuki, however, is a local having grown up, married and given birth in the area. She has a foster son and after obtaining her man's permission decides to adopt him legally. Shūgo Hayami is an on-call substitute doctor at a nursing hospital, which was once a psychiatric hospital. One day, he suddenly finds himself confronting a vicious criminal wearing a clown mask, who demands that Shugo treat an injured university student called Hitomi.
