Premachandran (Mohanlal) is a down-to-earth carpenter and is liked by the village folks. One day he meets Kanmani (Meera Jasmine), a girl of Tamil roots who is employed as a servant and is continually ill-treated by the family that employs her. Premachandran comes to her rescue. But this lands him into endless troubles and eventually into love.

Vinod (Dileep), an MCA graduate, still hasn't figured out what to do with his life. His parents decide to send him to his sister Vimala's (Seetha) house. She is married to Shaji Raghavan (Mukesh), an engineer with the Irrigation Department. The idea was to put some sense into Vinod's head. But Shaji isn't all that happy to have Vinod at home because his unmarried younger sister too is living with them. Gopakumar (Mohanlal) buys a house from Dr. Muralikrishnan (Mukesh) to establish an office for his garment exporting business, only to find that Muralikrishnan's estranged wife Teresa (Sukanya) & kid are still living there, refuse to move out. After learning that Teresa's closest friends Prameela (Mohini) & Rahna (Muthumani) are also separated from their husbands, Gopakumar, with the help of his assistant Kamala (Meera Jasmine) & Immanuel (Innocent), decides to patch up their relationships.

Inbasekar (Madhavan), a strong-armer, shoots Michael (Surya), a student leader, off his motorbike on Napier bridge in Chennai. Michael flies off his bike & falls into the river below, with a bystander student Arjun (Siddharth) being the sole witness to the shooting. The film then flashbacks into each of their lives, starting a few months ago, to bring things up to the present day shooting.

Ajith Thomas (Dileep), a TV reporter, when he finds the dead body of a man whom he happened to capture on camera a few days ago, broadcasts the image of the woman who was on camera with him, thus finding Krishna Priya (Meera Jasmine), his widow. Soon, Ajith finds that Krishna Priya is being hunted by a group of criminals running a huge sex racket, & that Krishna Priya's dead husband Hari Kumar (Indrajith), was also part of it. Ajith tries to protect Krishna from them, but jeopardizing himself.

Meera (Meera Jasmine) falls in love & marries crippled Harikrishnan aka Hari (Vineeth), who used to be a dancer at Mohini Natya Mandir run by Mohini (Chithra Iyer). Hari, who harbored dreams of an independent dance project without influence from Mohini, gathers Mohini's artists, including lead dancer Vivek (Manoj K. Jayan) & sets to work. Meera, meanwhile, develops a fear of men because of her sexless marriage & Hari starts suspecting Meera of unfaithfulness, resulting in Meera leaving Hari.

Three hotel management students - Deepu (Kunchako Boban), Alex Chandy aka Kunjoonju (Prithviraj), Ashtamurthy (Jayasurya) - come to live as tenants at the Pondicherry Inn, run by two sisters Kamala (Meera Jasmine) & Padma (Bhavana) & their mother Sofie (Kalaranjini). All 3 guys fall for Kamala & tries to woo her. Ashtamurthy falls out of the race after Kamala ties a "rakhi" on him. Kunjoonju makes passes at Kamala which results in a fight with Deepu & Kamala evicts them all from Pondicherry Inn.

Story & interrelationships of eight friends & coworkers who work for an IT company - Pachan (Anoop), Siddhu (Indrajith), Manikunju (Jayasurya), Abhilash aka Abhi (Narein), Charulatha aka Charu (Meera Jasmine), Kalyani (Radhika), Rosemary (Roma) & Mumtaz aka Mumu (Samvrutha Sunil), and the people in their lives.

Sajan Joseph Alukka (Kunchako Boban) & Priyamvada (Meera Jasmine) are collegemates, with both struggling to get through college, with a lot of burdens at home. After some initial spats & misunderstandings, they fall in love with each other. Learning of Sajan's IAS aspirations, Priyamvada drops out of college & puts Sajan through IAS coaching. Sajan gets IAS, but their plans to unite are foiled when Priyamvada hacks her lecherous brother-in-law to death, & is subsequently arrested & jailed.

In Saudi Arabia, a Muslim Malayali, Akbar (Dilip), is sentenced to death for killing his Brahmin friend, Raghu Rama Iyer (Vineeth), while back home in Kerala, Akbar's wife Rasiya (Meera Jasmine) & Raghu's wife Ganga (Kavya Madhavan) are devastated by the news. When Akbar's & Raghu's common friend John Kuruvila (Biju Menon) tells Rasiya that the only way Akbar's life can be spared is if Ganga forgives Akbar, Rasiya & her father Abdu (Mammukoya) goes in search of Ganga, to beg for Akbar's life.

Unwed single mother Vanaja (Urvashi) & her daughter Ashwathy (Meera Jasmine) were more of friends than mother & daughter, but when Ashwathy falls in love with struggling ambulance chaser Ijo (Narein), Vanaja opposes it because Ijo was an orphan, didn't have a family & she wanted to marry Ashwathy off into a big family. Infuriated, Ashwathy demands to know why they didn't have a family themselves & who her father was. Vanaja refused to answer & this drives Ashwathy away from her.

Jennifer (Meera Jasmine), whose whole Jewish family depended on her to marry someone from Israel, to emigrate there, has to stifle her feelings for Sachidanandan (Dileep), son of late renowned musician Raveendranath (Murali), to fulfill her family's wishes. As the day for her to leave for Israel & get married draws near, she plays matchmaker to hook Sachidanandan up with her new found best friend, Pooja (Navya Nair), who was in town from Mumbai.

Four people from different backgrounds - rich businessman Roy (Jayaram), roughneck Amir (Jayasurya), musician Surya (Kunchako Boban) & medical student Gaury (Meera Jasmine), all cancer patients on their final stages of the disease, meet at a cancer care center & become deep friends. Wanting to enjoy their remaining days to the fullest, they embark on a foreign tour funded by Roy, with Malaysia as their first stop.

Chandrabose commits to changing Sharath's life & helps Sharath & his friends start an IT company. However, success gets into Sharath's head & makes him ungrateful. Sachithanandan aka Sachi (Jayaram) has the perfect family, with a loving wife, Shyama (Meera Jasmine), & a daughter Kunji (Anikha Surendran). His life is turned upside down when his childhood pal Jose (Manoj K. Jayan) comes for a vacation from Dubai & coaxes Sachi into having a fling with Rose (Sarayu Mohan), a woman he had met in Dubai. Sachi backs out at the last moment & flees the hotel where he was staying with Rose, but Shyama finds out about it nonetheless, & she stops speaking to Sachi.
