Preman (Fahadh Faasil), the caretaker of a flat at Kochi, derogatively called 'Natholi' (Anchovy) by the residents, faces constant humiliation at the hands of Prabha (Kamalinee Mukherjee), a headstrong arrogant girl who lives there. Preman begins to write a story with the same characters in his real life, including himself as Narendran, an NRI & plays with their lives in his story. But he soon loses control over the characters he create & the movie plots ahead with the interaction between them.
ACP Antony Moses (Prithviraj) finds the killer of his friend ACP Aaryan John Jacob, but just before revealing it to his friend & superior officer Commissioner Farhan (Rahman), he meets with a car accident, causing him to forget everything. Out of the hospital days later, but still amnesic, Farhan urges Antony to investigate the murder once again.

Regretful over the fact that he couldn't become a doctor himself, Asokan Chirakkara (Jagadish) pushes his son Adarsh (Sujith) to become a doctor. However, on the day of the the medical entrance exam, Adarsh buckles under pressure & gets a panic attack, shattering Asokan's dreams. Over the next few days, Asokan realizes that he had never before bothered to acknowledge his son's own dreams of becoming a painter & was imposing his own wishes on his son.

Salman (Suraaj Venjarammoodu), Umesh Pisharadi (Nobi) - running away from their creditors, & a female taxi driver Devayani (Kavya Madhavan), driving some female passengers - get embroiled in a plot of a priceless missing Tibetan painting called '5 Tibetians'.
Aadhi (Sanoop Santhosh), the son of Bhaskaran Pillai (Mammootty),a hot-headed businessman, & Shivani (Anikha Surendran), the daughter of Hima (Nayanthara), a confectioner, take a liking for each others' parents & decide that the best way forward was for Bhaskar to marry Hima, & Aadhi & Shivani go about plotting that. Meanwhile, Hima's ex-lover, & Shivani's father, Sanjay (J.D. Chakravarthi), whom everyone presumed was dead, returns, complicating things.
