Albet Samson (Mohanlal), a middle-aged architect who clawed his way to prominence, however, doesn't have a meaningful private life with this wife Alice (Swetha Menon). Into this, comes Hilda Varghese (Nithya), a vivacious young woman to whom Samson had promised "a kingdom" when she was 12 years old. As Samson struggles with the destructive consequences of his monomaniacal pursuit & his growing fear of the new generation, the mysterious Hilda helps him gain a glimpse of his former robust self.

A spoiled girl, Jiya, runs away from her family while running off with her long time friend and neighbor, Manu. They go through many adventures while Manu tries to get her back home.

Village simpleton, Subramania Hariramachandran (Sukumaran), suffocated by his devotee father's strict ways, runs off to Chennai at the behest of pal Kumar (Jagathi Sreekumar) & puts up with him at his apartment complex. There, Subramania is attracted to his neighbor, college girl Sarita (Madhavi), & tries to win her heart by impressing her, but his uncouth village breeding causes him to keep goofing up.

Angel (Nithya Menon) lives with her two unmarried aunts Annie (Lakshmi Ramakrishnan) & Mercy (Reena Bashir) in Fort Kochi, in a house called "Rosevilla", shielding themselves from the world around, as they find that men are treacherous. Abey (Asif Ali), a young man, arrives in the city in search of a job, & becomes a tenant in the outbuilding of "Rosevilla". After some initial spats, Abey & Angel fall in love, but circumstances become the villain in their lives.

'Urumi' is set in the backdrop of the fierce warrior clans of Northern Kerala in the 16th century & is the story of Chirakkal Kelu Nayanar (Prithviraj), whose target is Dom Vasco da Gama, the Viceroy of Portuguese Empire in India, to avenge the death of his father Chirakkal Kothuvval (Arya), who was killed by da Gama. In the reality TV obsessed Kerala, a TV channel, 'Real TV', decides to telecast live, the life of a young girl, Manjula Ayyappan (Nithya Menon), the first contestant of a new reality show called 'Thatsamayam Oru Penkutty', that has an entire camera crew following her wherever she goes for a month. Manjula transforms from a villager to a pop icon on-screen, while a ruthless channel CEO Ravi (Siddique) & senior producer Thomas Joseph (Baburaj) manipulates her life to keep the show's rating high.

Frustrated by her mediocre life not befitting a doctor's wife in her mind, Subalakshmi (Sona Nair) pushes her husband, homeopath Bhargavan Pillai (Innocent), to live beyond their means, including pledging their house to contest a Panchayath election & hocking his scooter to buy dresses for a wedding. All excesses come home to roost however, when their actions culminate in the bank arriving to possess their house for failure to repay their debts.

'Makaramanju' depicts the tale of the famous Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma (Santhosh Sivan) during the stage in his life as he is painting his famous work 'Urvashi & Pururavas'. Varma's model is Suganda Baai (Karthika Nair) with whom Varma falls in love, & as he recites the story of Pururavas (Santhosh Sivan) & Urvashi (Karthika Nair) to Suganda, their own relationship begins to acquire certain shades of the legend.

Mobsters Ayyappan (Kalabhavan Mani) & Fakir (Vinayakan) come in search of their childhood pal & ex-mobster Tony (Asif Ali), who was now living with his wife (Nithya Menon) & kid, to take him back to their boss Prakash Kamath (John Vijay), whom Tony & their 2 other pals - Geevarghese (Indrajith) & Benny (Rahman) - had tried to kill. However, they find Geevarghese & Benny there, holding them off. Tony convinces them all to pull off a final job to secure his family's future before going to Kamath.

Faizal (Dulquer Salmaan), the only son of a rich businessman, Abdul Razak (Siddique), studies a chef's course in Switzerland against Razak's wishes. As the relation between father & son breaks, Faizal goes in search of his grandfather, Karim (Thilakan), who ran a restaurant, "Ustad Hotel', in Kozhikode. A strong bond develops between Karim & Faizal, & Faizal staves off a takeover of the hotel by the owner (Jinu Joseph) of a rich 5 star hotel nearby.
