A countess and a mannequin get mistaken for each other.

The clear starry sky shimmers above the fresh of white snowdrifts. In 17th century Finland, the young Arvid is forced to marry the little Brita but their ways soon part when their respective fathers move to different places. Years roll by and Arvid (now played by Olavi Reimas) grows up into a handsome and respected Thirty Years' War veteran known for his excellent fencing skills.

Two well to do ladies are wooed by ennui upper class lads/men: a chance encounter with a stranger of seemingly lesser class causes one to be all a flutter, especially when her own riches family are threatened with bankruptcy: but was the stranger really what he seemed? Will happy ever after class equilibrium be safely navigated and restored?

Doctor’s daughter Leila is getting married to engineer Lauri. Before the wedding, Lauri’s ex-girlfriend Asta and poet Esko, who is in love with Leila, mess up the relationship between the happy couple.

A young woman leaving the city for the countryside encounters the concept of voluntary work - new to her. She eventually does good, and charms the employer at the same time.
