It doesn't take him long to find the emerald, but he discovers that finding it was the easy part; the difficult part is getting it back to its rightful owner, and he winds up involved in a murder in which an innocent man is framed. This comedy is set in New York and centers upon a singing Irish cop who causes quite a sensation among two producers when he sings at the annual Policeman's Ball. When released, Tom is determined to return the money to its rightful owners over the objections of Jim Judd. Judd threatens harm to Chad and forces Lavinia to aid him.
