Biography: Born Sidney Parhm Jr. He was active on radio and stage in the 40's and 50's. He appeared in more than 200 television dramas from the 50's into the 80's and is credited with about a half-dozen movie roles. All throughout his career he protested network racism and demanded fair representation in television programs and commercials. He was unafraid of turning down or dropping out of a role if he felt it was discriminatory. He is known for leading a one-man crusade to get African Americans equal rep
