Two men meet at the funeral of an old friend. They go out for a night on the town - to relive the fun they used to have. But all is not what it seems.

Buddy is an aspiring teenager who is a very good musician and has pressure to go further than his Dad's teddy boy rocker days. However, when his father is sent away for a year for covering up for criminal Des, it puts further strain on the family relationship. Unemployed youngsters spend their days at the roller disco of the title, circling round and round, before being called to take up low-paid jobs as they become available. They leave the building in a wash of light, though we do not go through that door with them. For others it's a subsistence existence of vending machine food, video games, with sex and drug freely available as distractions.
