DSP Jayaprakash aka Jay (Prabhu) has long been on the trail of dreaded criminal David Billa (Ajith) & finally kills him by accident. To catch the whole of Billa's gang, along with his boss, the mysterious Jagadish, Jay gets Velu (Ajith), Billa's lookalike, to pose as Billa & infiltrate his gang. In an encounter, Jay gets killed, & the blame falls on Velu, whom the cops assume to be Billa. Velu goes on the run, with the cops & Jagadish's gang, who learned that he isn't Billa, on his tail.

Anandakuttan brings back Anandavalli's daughter Parvathi (Roja), who takes a fancy to him & wants to marry him per Tamil customs. Parvathi's cousin Kannayya follows suit from Tamil Nadu, to take Parvathi back & to cut off Anandakuttan's leg - a promise Kannayya made to Parvathi's dad Thirupathi Perumal (Kalabhavan Mani).

Two young couples, Surya (Kailash) & Neethu (Archana Kavi), & Manu (Asif Ali) & Dia (Rima Kallingal), who were also best pals, try to make it big by making a movie by directing & producing it. The only problem? Cash. Although Surya was the love child of the late multimillionaire Vinayaka Naicker (Prabhu), Naicker's elder son Vinayakan (Prabhu) had a tight grip on Surya's purse strings. The foursome dream up a scheme to finagle money from Vinayakan by pretending that Surya & Neethu got married.
