Advocate Kurishummoottil Mariamma is known for her rhetoric and volatile temper while in court. Film director Viswanathan (Mammootty), who hadn't been making movies since his wife's death 2 years back, finally decides to make a movie to financially help his ailing guru Krishnan Nambiar (Ravi Menon). He heads to Kodaikanal on his producer Thomas's (Azeez) behest to pen the script in peace, staying as a guest of Thomas's friend Menon (K.P. Ummar). There he meets Shyama (Nadia Moidu), Menon's daughter, & gets drawn towards her. He learns that Shyama also shares a similar bereavement like him.
When, even after 2 years since the murder of the aristocrat Udaya Varma of Chithirapuram palace & his wife, the police hadn't caught the culprit nor located their missing son Mohana Varma (Madhupal), & the remaining relatives of the palace fighting for ownership of the palace, the court appoints lawyer Ananthapadmanaban (Jayaram) as the receiver of the palace. He, along with his sidekick & clerk Urumees (Jagathi Sreekumar) moves to the palace, but faces trouble with Udaya Varma's relatives.

'Chankoottam' Bhasi (Kalabhavan Mani) is a goon who turns out to be even more feared than his father 'Chemparunthu' Bhaskaran (Rajan P. Dev), in the village of Moolikkandam. The Panchayat President Madhavan Nair (Nedumudi Venu), desperate to stop Bhasi's atrocities, brings in a young man who begrudges Bhasi, Mustafa. After a duel between the two, Mustafa dies & Bhasi is convicted. Years later, when Bhasi gets back, he finds that his old crony Rajendran (Riyaz Khan) now rules over the village.
Appu & Achchu (Mammootty) are the twin sons of Ravunni (Janardanan), a ballet artist. While Appu is noisy & talkative, Achchu is forced to silence as he was born dumb. These differences resulted in hostility brewing between them & their father had to let them grow up apart. Appu grew up in Pollachi, whilst Achchu grew up with his father in Palghat & is now the main artist in his father's ballet troupe. The two brothers are still enemies, but their friends & family wishes to see them united.

Balu's father Velandi (Mala Aravindan), a Parrot Astrologer, passes away, forcing Balu to take up astrology to feed his family. When a few of his predictions about Kerala politics comes true by fluke, Balu rises to fame as a 'Political Astrologer".
Solomon Joseph (Prithviraj), a corrupt & arrogant SI of Rajakkadu, Idukki, locks horns with ex-MLA Ummachan (Devan) over his younger brother Dennis's arrest & later Dennis dies in police custody by Solomon's hands. Solomon gets transferred to Badhiyadukka, Kasargod. In Badhiyadukka, Solomon alienates a local bigwig Arrackal Aboobecker Haji (Captain Raju) & he is attacked & left to die by his Haji's son Sharief. Solomon takes this incident to be a punishment for his past sins & becomes repentant.
S.P. Siddharth Mahadev (Suresh Gopi), assisted by C.I. Aravind (Krishnakumar), investigates the murder of a retired senior police officer Sathar (Rizabawa). He is later summoned by his former boss, Nambiar (Rajan P. Dev) to help find his missing daughter Meera Nambiar (Honey Rose). Nambiar also ends up killed soon after. Siddharth lands 2 suspects in Meera's case - an orphan Rahul Krishna (Bala) & an innkeeper Sankaranarayanan (Murali), but they give totally opposite accounts of what happened.
Bhuvanachandran aka Bhuvan (Dileep), a broke real estate broker, is conned into buying a 30 acre land in Tamil Nadu, disputed by 2 warring local bigwigs - Pandidurai (Prakash Raj) & Karuppayya (Rajan P. Dev), both of whom sworn to kill anyone buying the land. Bhuvan & his partner Bhasi (Harisree Asokan), hatch a plan wherein Bhuvan would befriend Pandidurai to get closer to him. Bhuvan also gets drawn to Karuppayya's daughter Meena (Navya Nair), unaware that Pandidurai also has an eye on her.
Jnanashekhara Varma (Murali), a top cop, gets murdered after an anti-corruption tirade against the Revenue department of the ministry. Chandrashekharan IPS (Suresh Gopi), who has the nickname "The Tiger", gets handed the case. Soon after, Suhara Ahammed (Gopika), a TV journalist who was investigating Revenue minister Varkichan Narimattom (Rajan P. Dev), & her cameraman Kishore (Vineeth Kumar), goes missing. Chandrashekharan, suspecting a link between the disappearance & the murder, investigates.
Anand Menon (Dileep) is a junior artists supplier for Malayalam movies, who works on commission. When he learns that his mother, who had separated from him when he was young, died in Germany, & his younger brother Akash Menon (Dileep), is returning to India to be with him, he dreams of it to be a way out of his debt-ridden life & arranges a big house & other luxuries to treat Akash. However, his dreams are shattered when he finds at the airport that Akash is autistic & doesn't recognize him.
Nandagopal aka Nandu (Narein) gets sent by his uncle Shankaran Nair (Janardanan) to the village of Kalimuthuppalayam in Tamil Nadu to sell Nandu's father's house & after some initial failed attempts at selling it, Nandu decides to stay on & brings his mother & sister to live with him. He gets into a quarrel with a local bigwig & criminal Nachiappa (Rama Reddy), who starts to make life difficult for Nandu. After several instances of defeat & humiliation, his mother demands that Nandu fight back.
"Aadu" Thoma (Mohanlal), a notorious rowdy in the small town of Injimukku & his father, Chacko (Thilakan), a famed Math teacher who was felicitated by the Indian President, both hate each other & isn't on talking terms, with Thoma's mother Mary (K.P.A.C. Lalitha) & sister Jancy (Chippy), torn between them. Thoma's old childhood friend Thulasi (Urvashi) returns to town, & although Thoma gets initially irritated by her antics, he starts reforming bit by bit. However, Thoma's old foes don't let go.
Two petty thieves - "Paathira" Thankappan (Sreenivasan) & "Thorappan" Thoma (Mukesh) - gets wrongly accused of attempted murder after a failed robbery attempt & gets jailed. Thankappan gets out on parole & disappears. Thoma also gets out soon after on parole & when he drives a car to Madras in return for some money, he gets mixed up in a conflict between two rival crime gangs & goes on the run with Thankappan, whom he runs across in Madras, with a cop Vincent D'souza (Jagadish) also after them.
SI Bhagyanathan (Jagadish) & constable Bhaskaran (Sreenivasan), both are after Bhagyanathan's cousin Anju (Devayani), due to which they constantly quibble. Bhaskaran & constable Mathew Joseph (Mala) lose an accused thief Eenashu (Harisree Asokan) on the way to the court, thereby getting suspended. Later they lie about killing a terrorist who actually committed suicide & becomes eligible for a reward of 50 lakhs, but Bhagyanathan pulls some strings to block their prize unless they find Eenashu.
When India's top scientist Dr. Abdul Rahman (Raghuvaran) & family gets kidnapped by terrorist Gonzalves (Hemant Ravan), to procure the know-how of the medium-range ballistic missile 'Samhaara', which Dr. Rahman developed, Major Stephen Ronald (Mohanlal) is handed the case by the Indian Defense Department. He goes undercover as a circus artist & magician, Alby, along with his subordinate Teddy (Jagadish) to get close to Gonzalves & his followers Willie (Madhupal) & Douglas (Krishnakumar).
A young man, Ajayan (Jagadish), after the financing company he was a cashier in, sinks, runs off to Madras to escape public wrath. There, he stumbles upon a young girl child someone left on the railway tracks to die. He rescues the child & later tries to dispose of her in various ways, but the child always ended up back with him. After a while, Ajayan becomes attached to the child, names her Kukku & takes up a job to support her. At that point, the child's real mother turns up & claims her.
Vettikkaadu Sivan (Jayasurya), kidnaps his uncle Vettikkaadu Sadhasivan (Jagathi), a contender for the Chief Minister post & plants Sadhasivan's long lost twin brother & banana vendor Vettikkaadu Sambhasivan (Jagathi), whom Sivan found in Gujarat, in his place. Sambhasivan wins the election, but has no interest to rule & pines for his long lost love Ammu. Sambhasivan's stupidities create problems for Sivan.
Anwar Ali aka Alibhai (Mohanlal) rules the Calicut Palayam market as their protector & leader. Two enemies from his past team up to destroy him & the market - Sundaran Thampi (Siddique), the son of his father's rival Karunakaran Thampi (Rajan P. Dev), whose right hand Ali had chopped off as a kid & Daniel Abraham, son of Ambubhai (Saikumar), a rowdy, whom Ali had beaten in the market & bedridden when he was a youth.
Malini Laxman (Madhavi), a PhD student invents a vaccine which would make a human immune to narcotics, but the formula gets stolen from her, her husband killed & she jailed for selling drugs, in a plot masterminded by her professor Ramamoorthy (Charu Haasan), Poonthurayil Itty (Rajan P. Dev) & Police commissioner Sathyanathan (Soman). Malini ends up in Mumbai where she becomes wealthy from the Mumbai Underworld & returns as Aparna, to take revenge on the people responsible for her losses.
Father Gabriel Panachikkadan (Rajan P. Dev) brings up orphan Daisy (Indraja) & Prince Lawrence (Hari Nair), whose parents are in the US. They get attracted to each other after Prince choreographs a winning folk dance number for Daisy. Furious at the prospect of his son marrying an orphan, Lawrence (Ramachandran V.) comes down from US, opposes their relationship & blames Fr. Gabriel for letting it happen. In between this, Daisy goes missing & CI Samuel Isaac (Vijayaraghavan) starts investigating.
Father Daniel (Captain Raju), the newly appointed junior priest of the town church, tries to unite the warring Hindus and Christians, with the Christians led by Kariyachan (K.P.A.C. Sunny) & Mathayichan (Rajan P. Dev) & the Hindus led by Raman Nair (Kollam Thulasi). He forms a music troupe, 'Rhythm Orchestra', along with lovers Roy (Vikram) & Hema (Laila), & also tries to unite them. Fr. Daniel faces stiff opposition from various quarters.
Vishwanathan (Mukesh), the budding leader of a group of unemployed youth in the village of Kummaattikkadavu, becomes the witness to the murder of honest cop Harikumar (Devan) by Achayan (Rajan P. Dev), the local bigwig. After an attempt on his life, Vishwanathan gets assigned two cops for protection - K. Sreedharan Nair (Innocent) & K.P. Chacko (Jagathi). At first, Vishwanathan considers his escorts a matter of pride, but soon their constant presence & interference starts to mess with his life.
Madhavan Nair (Thilakan), a cabby, & his wife Bharathi (Kaviyoor Ponnamma), have 4 children - Prasad (Manian Pillai Raju), Santhosh (Baiju), Urmila (Renuka) & Geetha (Urvashi). Being forced out of their rented house by their landlord Kikkili (Meena), Madhavan is forced to buy some land & build a house of their own. However, at the time of their need, all their ungrateful children & their spouses, except for Geetha, turn their backs on Madhavan & Bharathi, leaving them to fend for their own.
Injakkadan Mathai (Innocent) & sons Thankachan (Suresh Gopi) & Roy (Jagadish) run a gainful cloth shop while a rival store run by the Chungathara family is at a loss, much to the latter's ire. After Thankachan weds Beena (Saranya), daughter of an old pal of Mathai, Thommichan, Chungathara misleads David (Rajan P. Dev), Beena's uncle, into thinking that Mathai had killed Thommichan. Hearing this, Beena's sister Shirley (Urvashi) moves in with Mathai's family, to take revenge for her dad's murder.
Diwakaran (Jagadish), a medical sales rep, is also a thief, unbeknown to everyone but his pal Chaandy (Kalabhavan Mani). Mistaking retired school teacher Aravindakshan (Premachandran) for a politician, Diwakaran steals jewelry from him, which Aravindakshan had intended for his daughter's marriage. The cop investigating the case, Jayashankar (Vijayaraghavan), becomes Diwakaran's brother-in-law, to the latter's shock. Jayashankar then brings a proposal for Diwakaran - Aravindakshan's daughter!
When a terrorist blast rocks the Viliyam beach on February 14, the cops arrest Anwar (Bala), a Software Engineer, as the prime suspect. Responding to allegations of Anwar being framed & wrongly accused by the local police, as per court instructions, Chief Minister Madhavan (Thilakan) hands over the case to the Crime Branch DIG Hrishikesh (Suresh Gopi). Hrishikesh, along with his trusted aides Hamsa (Keerikkadan Jose) & Rappayi (Baburaj), investigates & finds links to many influential people.
Machu (Mammootty), an illiterate street urchin turned millionaire scrap-dealer, falls for the sweet talk of con man Andrews Pereira (Nedumudi) & hands over all his money to him to invest, which Andrews transfers into his daughter Diana's (Navneet Kaur) name & escapes with her to Singapore after also duping Machu into thinking that Andrews was going to let Machu marry Diana. Peeved at having cheated out of his life savings, Machu follows suit to Singapore, to get back the money & the girl.
At the behest of Fr. Gomez (Gopi), Sethuramaiyer (Mammootty), along with aide Chacko (Mukesh), travels to Kannur Jail to meet death row convict & serial killer Isow Alex (Kalabhavan Mani), where Alex had a confession - of the 7 murders he was convicted of, 5 in Irani & 2 in Nadamangalam, he was innocent of the first murder in Nadamangalam - that of businessman Manikunju (Ramachandran V.). Sethuramaiyer reopens the case & investigates with the help of Chacko & prentice Ganeshan (Vineeth Kumar).
The belligerent & irascible Police Commissioner Bharathchandran I.P.S (Suresh Gopi) gets handed over the case to investigate the murder of Justice Mahendran (Karamana), who was heading an inquiry commission into the riots which happened in Poonthura, Kerala. The investigation pits him against his prime suspect, kingmaker Mohan Thomas (Ratheesh) & his coterie, Intelligence I.G. Rajan Felix (Rajan P. Dev), A.I.G. Menon (N.F. Varghese) & contract killer Wilfred Vincent Bastin (Bheeman Raghu).
Three friends, Devi (Manya), Simi (Karthika) & Meenakshi (Kavya Madhavan), gets kicked out from college for stealing question papers. With no place to go, Simi's boyfriend Chackochan (Vineeth Kumar) seeks the help of an old friend Vinod. Vinod promises to take them to the hill station of Nelliampathi for a getaway. En route, their bus gets in an accident & they try to seek shelter at a desolated mansion. An unruly wayfarer, Raghuram (Mammootty), joins them & starts to get on their nerves.
Premachandran aka Preman (Jayaram), a BCom grad, takes up the job of a driver at the house of brothers Kuttan Bava (Narendra Prasad) & younger Kunjan Bava (Rajan P. Dev). When Kuttan's daughter Ammu (Kasturi) & Kunjan's daughter Malu (Sangeetha) makes amorous overtures towards the handsome & educated Preman, he responds to keep his job, but finally resulting in Kuttan & Kunjan fixing his marriage with their respective daughters, not aware of each other's plans, with Preman torn between them.
Yamuna Prasad (Rajan P. Dev), one part of the popular music director duo Yamuna Prasad-Ganga Prasad, who were working as the judges of reality show Singer Star, goes missing, & days later, his severed arm turns up in a dumpster. CI Wahid Abdul Rahman Haji (Kalabhavan Mani) takes up the case & arrests sanyasi Parashuram Bhattathiri (Suresh Gopi), who was staying in the same hotel as Yamuna Prasad, in the process. An irked Bhattathiri challenges Wahid that he will solve the case before him.
The singer-storyteller duo of 'Ganabhooshanam' Cochin Brothers, Girish Cochin (Jayaram) & Satish Cochin (Premkumar), gets tricked into going for performing at the village of Puthukkotta, where the families of Palathara & Madassery are feuding with each other, after Thampi (Captain Raju) of Madassery is jailed for killing his illicit son Ananthan (Krishna Kumar). After Girish & Satish declare that they are going to tell Thampi's tale, both families want Cochin Brothers to tell the tale their way.
At Manikyasseri Kovilakam, pregnant maid Ganga (Mayuri) gets burned alive by the patriarch after his son Devan (Madhupal) falls in love with her, but Ganga's spirit returns & kills him. The great sorcerer Meppaadan (Rajan P. Dev) exorcises the spirit & traps it in a tree. Years later, a college girl Daisy (Divya Unni), unleashes the spirit by mistake, which possesses her & seeks revenge at the males of Manikyasseri. Daisy befriends Unni (Riyaz) of Manikyasseri & makes him fall in love with her.
Appu (Mohanlal), an orphaned young man, considers the mother-in-law (K.R. Vijaya) of CI Gopan (Murali), of the Mangalathu family, as a mother figure. Looking to get a job as a driver in Dubai, Appu dumps his blacksmithing trade & learns driving. One night, he witnesses 3 people trying to dispose of the corpse of a dancer, Sugandhi, & reports it to Gopan. Sugandhi's killers turn out to be Gopan's friends, so Gopan frames Appu for it & gets him jailed. Appu escapes from jail to vindicate himself.
Josekutty (Sudheesh), an orphan, slips into the world of crime after teaming up with petty thief Mayyanad Madhavan (Sreenivasan), but is arrested & jailed. After his release, in a heist gone wrong, he kills a security guard, for which Madhavan accepts the blame & goes to jail. Josekutty, who was trying in vain to get himself jailed, helps an old lady in distress, Rachael Mathew (Srividya), thereby becoming a member of her household & gets close to Rachael's adopted daughter Elsa (Monisha).
Prabhakara Varma (Siddique) & wife, of royal bloodline, gets killed & their gardener Koonikkal Vasu (Murali) jailed for it. Varma's servant Elayath (Captain Raju) saves Varma's daughters Indu & Sindu & escapes to Bombay with them. Years later, Indu (Vani Viswanath) & Sindu (Indraja), now grown up, are back to Kerala for revenge, along with Elayath & his son Munna (Kalabhavan Mani). Their target is have Mukundan (Rajan P. Dev), their father's old servant & whom they believe to be the killer.
Pulikkattil Charlie (Mohanlal), quarry owner & local bigwig, has spent his whole life making redresses for the evils his cruel & abusive father Pulikkattil Mathan (Ramaraj) had done, including marrying Maya (Meena), whom Mathan orphaned & raising Mathan's illicit child Katrina (Nayantara). Now Charlie must face his biggest threat yet - his father's killer Karnan (Ranjith), whom also Mathan had orphaned, is getting out of jail & has vowed to kill the last male of the Pulikkattil family, Charlie.
Call girl Alina Iype (Meena) poses as Sandra Valookkaran to spy on Singapore-based tycoon Sunny Palamattom (Mohanlal), as per instructions from Mohammad Ali, Sunny's disgruntled ex-employee. Alina refuses to cheat Sunny & saves his life & Ali is sent to jail for attempted murder. Sunny takes Alina back to Kerala to his family, to be his wife. There, Sunny revisits his old enemies & his ex-flame Nancy (Divya Unni), while struggling to come to terms with the fact that Alina used to be a call girl.
Rameshan (Mammootty), an automotive scrap dealer of the Maya Bazar colony, has an ongoing rivalry with Bhadran (Kalabhavan Mani), over Maya (Sheela), whom Bhadran fancies, but who loves Rameshan. One day Rameshan is called to the govt. hospital morgue where he sees his double Lakshmi Narayanan (Mammootty), who had died in an accident, the previous day. Hearing that Lakshmi had suffered a blow to the head, which lead to the accident, Rameshan sets out to unknot the secrets behind Lakshmi's death.
Financier Gunasekaran (N.F. Varghese) & barber Pappu (Rajan P. Dev) had been lifelong friends, but when it came to keeping his word about marrying off his town-educated daughter Sunanda (Kaveri) to Pappu's son Chakrapani (Jagadish), Gunasekaran reneges on his word, causing an angry Pappu to ask Chakrapani to woo Sunanda, by hook or crook. An equally agitated Gunasekaran tries to twart Chakrapani's efforts, but soon the rivalry turns into a communal issue, because of their caste differences.
Balachandran (Murali), son of martyred communist leader Azheekkal Raghavan (Narendra Prasad), grows up to be an honest politician, but gets framed for murder by corrupt party secretary Lukose (Sukumaran) & spends 5 years in jail. Coming out, Balachandran rises to prominence & acquires wealth with a vengeance, through illicit means. Finally, he gets a shot at being the Chief Minister of the state, using money & muscle. Finding his father's killers was also on his mind.
Struggling artist Muthukulam Madhukumar (Dileep), with the help of pals Benny Kurien (Premkumar) & Surendran (Indrans), tries to kidnap his lover Subha (Devayani), when their affair becomes known to Subha's folks & Subha was put on house arrest. However, they screw up & kidnap Subha's friend Maya instead. Meanwhile, another gang of goons mistakenly kidnap Subha, instead of their real target Maya. Two prominent families & business rivals, the Uppukandam brothers, Kariachan (Captain Raju), Paulachan (Keerikkadan Jose), Xavichan (Babu Antony), Josekutty (Jagadish) & Thankachan (Baiju), & the Ettuveettil Pillais, headed by Ananthan Pillai (Rajan P. Pappan (Rahman), a famous singer, gets killed by his rival Umesh (Jose), a week before his wedding to his girlfriend Zarina (Lizy). However, it turned out that Yama (Thilakan), the Lord of death, took Pappan's life mistaking him for someone else & that he had a week more to live. Yama gives Pappan different freshly-dead bodies to try on till then & finally Pappan settles for Devadas (Mohanlal), a cop killed in action. Now, as Devadas, Pappan has to prove his death & bring Umesh to justice.

The spirit, who was set free by the kids, takes Jimmy's form & helps them to get Jimmy out on parole. Jimmy takes the help of the spirit to prove his innocence.
Antony Simon (Mammootty), CI Crime Branch, once a sharp officer, now has his world centered around his son Aadi (Dhananjay), with the result that he gets suspended from work for negligence. Warrier (Nedumudi Venu), he procures a job as a gardener at the minister's residence, to be close to his father, after Warrier expressed reluctance in publicly accepting him. But when news leaks out about Kumaran, Warrier's political rival George Antony (Sphadikam George) tries to exploit the situation by kidnapping Kumaran, & putting the blame on Warrier.
Franko (Prithviraj) who doted on his sister Jenny (Roma) has to hide his love for Rosabella (Bhavana), as Jenny hated Rosabella. Three kids, Biju, Vinu & Lakshmi (Sonia), set an imp free from the clutches of an evil sorcerer (Kottarakkara Sridharan Nair), who had kept the imp captive to dig out a treasure, which was only attainable by the magical powers of the imp. Bobby Kurien, a young boy, who runs away from home after witnessing a murder, comes to Kerala & ends up with street performer Madhavankutty (Jagadish) & his party. Madhavankutty takes Bobby under his wing & provides for him, but soon Bobby stumbles into the very folks he ran away from.
At the behest of Kerala Chief Minister Shekaran (Janardanan), DySP Ashok Nariman (Suresh Gopi) reopens the case of convicted double murderer Manu (Vijayakumar). Convinced that Manu was framed by some powerful figures including top criminal lawyer Padmanabhan Thampi (Siddique), Nariman builds a case against them, but it gets thrown out in court. Angry but not giving up, Nariman tries a different tactic by framing Thampi & his coterie in a fabricated case.

After the corporation of the city of Cochin decides to use the neighboring village of Shivaramapuram as a landfill & widespread health issues spring up in the village because of that, journalist & activist Radhika Menon (Gopika), along with Mayamma (Lakshmi Lahari), a teacher & Shivaramapuram resident, mobilizes the villagers against the landfill.
Devadas (Devadas), a young boy, drinks a potion brewed by scientist R.C. Shekar (Jackie Shroff) which makes him invisible, with the aim of rescuing Maya (Kavya Madhavan) who had adopted Devadas as a child, but who was in mortal danger for having videotaped an illegal transaction involving political bigwigs. In between trying to rescue Maya, a gunshot wound sparks off a chemical reaction in Devadas, turning him into a hulk-like monster.

Gopalakrishnan (Jagadish), a popular paperboy from the Hindustan slums, becomes the Home Minister of Kerala in a political move by politico Kunjikannan Nambiar (Narendra Prasad). Sivahari Iyer (Saiju Kurup), a mild-mannered Brahmin boy, comes to Kochi in search of a job, but gets tangled up in the world of crime after he tries to prevent an elderly man, Koya (T.G. Ravi), from getting killed. With no other option but to turn into a gangster himself, Sivahari becomes a hitman for crime boss Alexander Nambadan (Vijayaraghavan), with his new-found friend & Nambadan's right-hand man Basheer (Sreejith Ravi) showing him the ropes.

However, when Alli disappears one day for a job to solve her family's debts, Pavithran realizes that she was more to him than a character in a play.
The headstrong District Collector Joseph Alex (Mammootty) takes on powerful politician Jayakrishnan (Murali), after the latter engineers a communal riot to disrupt the city's law & order & tries to use the opportunity to seize power.
Pirappancode Prabhakaran (Jayaram) & Pindimana Paulraj (Jagadish), two out of work drama artists, finds themselves in a caper after they try to rescue rich heiress Yamuna (Anusha) who was illegally detained at a mental asylum by its owner Dr. Krishnakumar (Rizabawa), who was seeking revenge against Yamuna for jilting him. To get close to Yamuna, Prabhakaran poses as a madcap himself & gets admitted there, but things don't go per plan when Prabhakaran gets stuck there with no means of escape.
Chanthappan (Narendra Prasad) & Chathukkutty (Nedumudi Venu), two lifelong friends, the former a Kalari artist & the latter a singer, are the prominent individuals of the village, each of them having 5 sons each. Into this walks in beautiful Meera (Annie), their new tenant, causing Chanthappan's & Chathukkutty's sons to fall over each other to get her attention. But Meera later claims to be Chathukkutty's lovechild, throwing Chanthappan, Chathukkutty & their sons into confusion.
Nandakumar (Mukesh) & Shashankan (Harisree Asokan), after various failed odd jobs, opens an Ayurvedic clinic, armed with knowledge gained from the medical texts of Nandakumar's long-gone father Vasudeva Panicker (Narendra Prasad), who was a great Ayurvedic doctor during his time. A pharmaceutical company approaches Nandakumar with a research job offer to find a cure for asthma, & Nandakumar takes up the challenge, knowing well that the company was the reason his father disappeared in disgrace.
Rajalakshmi (Suhasini), an unwilling young lady & the daughter of a late popular politician, is drawn into politics after she is asked to run for office as an MLA by her family & the ruling party. She wins & soon after, a ton of responsibilities land on her shoulders. Seeing the plight of her constituents at the hands of the local crime boss Krishnamoorthy, who had the cops & the politicians on his payroll, Rajalakshmi starts a crusade to bring him to justice.
Genius inventor Bharathan (Biju Menon) discovers a way to levitate objects using the power of nature, but starts to suffer amnesia about it soon after. As the scientists of the world look on, famed neuropsychiatrist G.R. Pandal (Suresh Gopi) is brought in from London to cure Bharathan. Pandal proposes a treatment, but which had the possible side effect of Bharathan forgetting his wife Geetha (Geethu Mohandas) completely. Initially opposed to the idea, Geetha is finally persuaded by Pandal.
At the famous Lakshmipuram palace, princess Lakshmi (Mathu) is 3 months away from becoming major, & the palace receiver Sivashankaran is scared of her asking for the palace accounts, which would expose the peculation he committed. Sivashankaran tries to get Lakshmi to marry his son Sudhakaran (Vijayaraghavan), but fails. Lakshmi's cousin Ravi Varma (Devan) who had his eye on her & her assets, comes down to marry her, but she takes a fancy to her music teacher Vishnu (Saikumar) & elopes with him.
Seetha (Kaveri), a young servant girl is found raped & murdered in a pond, & Unni Thampuran (Manian Pillai Raju), the girl's employer, is arrested & charged. Ace lawyer Kuruvila Aniyan Kuruvila (Mammootty) appears for the accused, but Unni is declared guilty & given a life sentence after the prosecution comes up with a fake witness. Although dejected, Kuruvila tries to reopen the case after finding that the case officer SP Sugunapalan (Rajan P. Dev) had helped the real culprits by framing Unni.
Citizen activist Narayanankutty (Jayaram) often files public interest litigation against politicians & cops, thereby gaining plenty of enemies, including the DGP Kurian Kulapurayil (Rajan P. Dev). When Narayanankutty falls in love with Kurian's daughter Kuku (Manya) & they plan to marry, Kurian, with the help of SI Chandran (Kalabhavan Mani), frames Narayanankutty in a sexual assault case of a 13-year old. Defamed in the eyes of the public, Narayanankutty has to prove his innocence.
Kuttiraman (Premkumar) returns from the Middle East with dreams of marrying the girl of his dreams, Sumathi (Mohini), & with promises of visas for his friends. Sumathi's uncle Sreedharan (Rajan P. Dev) is opposed to the alliance, as he plans to get Sumathi married to his own junkie son Sethukrishnan (Vijayakumar). However, just as Kuttiraman manages to woo Sumathi, he gets visitors from Mumbai who are after some smuggled gold Kuttiraman was carrying.
Dada Mohammed Sahib (Mammootty) is an old freedom fighter & his son Abubacker (Mammootty) is a former soldier. Abubacker, when he finds arms racketeering taking place in his home town involving people in the high echelons of power, including Jail IG Skaria Sacharia (Rajan P. Dev) & MLA Mohammedkutty (Saikumar), catches them in the act, but they frame Abubacker for terrorism & gets him sentenced to death. However, he manages to survive an attempt to hang him & escapes to expose the real traitors.
Kuttikrishnan (Jagadish), the illicit son of businessman Ananthan Nambiar, comes to Kochi to meet his dad, but a mix-up leaves him on the streets & another young man, Balagopalan (Mukesh), in his place as Nambiar's son. To expose Balagopalan, Kuttikrishnan teams up with cutpurse Mukundan (Jagathi) & car-thief Meenakshi (Annie), both of whom ensconce themselves in Nambiar's house as Kuttikrishnan's relatives. Meanwhile, Nambiar's manager Krishnadas was plotting to usurp Nambiar's assets.
Ramanathan IPS (Mammootty), the upright & irascible Commissioner of Police, tries to defend his brother-like friend Appu (Dileep) from a murder allegation, after Appu is accused of engineering the mass murder of his girlfriend Daisy's (Kavya Madhavan) family & the attempted murder of Daisy. Despite he himself being accused of being an accomplice & harboring Appu, Ramanathan eggs on and his investigations reveal the hands of top politicians & cops in the mass murder.
After influential eco-warrior Prof. Madhava Menon (Sukumaran) tries to expose the looting of forest resources by opposition leader K.R. Sreedharan (Ratheesh), he is shot & narrowly escapes death. Menon's followers recruit Colonel Varma (Jagathi), who runs a security firm, to protect Menon. Varma deploys 4 young men from his team - Sivashankaran (Vijayaraghavan), Punnoos (Baiju), Razak (Raju) & Mahendran (Keerikkadan Jose) - for this purpose, who later also identify with Menon's cause & join him.
Unnithan (Captain Raju) & Varkey (Lalu Alex), who used to be like brothers, split over Varkey siding with Lakshmi (Mathu), Unnithan's sister, when she chose their servant Damu (Asokan) as her husband. Best friends turned rivals, Unnithan makes it his life's mission to destroy Varkey, & the rivalry also spills over to their sons' lives - Unnithan's son Bharathan (Saikumar) & Varkey's son Lalichan (Ganesh) & Lakshmi's son Babu (Manoj K. Darshan Das & Wilson Morais (Rajan P. Dev) are former friends turned rivals in the textile industry. Shauri (Mammootty), a politically active young man, has to leave his Kuttanad village & run off after he kills one of the goons who were stirring up trouble in the village by pitting the Hindus & Christians against each other. Years later, Shauri returns in disguise only to find that his mother (Sukumari) & sister had committed suicide & the whole village was being oppressed by a rich outsider, Ponnu Chetty (Vijayakumar) who had settled down there. Shauri decides to stay & fight Chetty.
