Bellary Raja (Mammootty), when disowned by his mother, so she could marry Rajarathnam Pillai (Saikumar), leaves town, but keeps in touch with Rajarathnam. Rajarathnam's real son, Rajaselvam (Manoj K. Jayan) & daughter Rani (Sindhu Menon) are greedy & always fighting amongst each other. Meanwhile, Rajarathnam gets framed, jailed & murdered.
