A group of young men led by Shaji Pappan (Jayasurya) wins a tug of war competition, for which the winning prize turned out to be a baby goat. Angry at this, Pappan tries to dispose of the goat, against the wishes of his friends. Meanwhile, a gang of criminals led by Dude (Vinayakan) has descended from Bangkok to procure the supposedly rare (but in reality mythical) plant called 'Neelakoduveli' for Dude's sick boss. Mistaking Pappan & co. to be in possession of the plant, Dude & co. chases them.

Allen Mathew (Vipin Atley), a young man trying to catch a break in TV despite his unflattering looks, comes up with a unique concept for a TV show, which is stolen by his friend Sajith (Kailash) who works for the Christian TV channel, Grace TV. Allen does get a chance to make further episodes, but is stymied at every step of the way by Program Head Sarath Chandran (Manoj K. Jayan) & Sajith. Finally, Allen decides to expose the corruption at Grace TV through a special New Year's eve episode.

Fish auctioneer Malik (Mammootty) is forced to give shelter to a Jewish British citizen, Michelle (Caroline Bech), after she is forced to leave her hotel, Hotel Casalinda. As Malik couldn't speak or understand a word of English & Michelle a word of Malayalam, Malik tries to learn English. After Malik realizes that he is being used by his politician friend Paulose Punnokkaaran (Sathar) & his ex-father-in-law (Ramu) to steal Michelle's ancestral property, Hotel Casalinda, he decides to help her.
Masala Republic
After rising concerns about cancer, the Kerala government bans gutka (chewing tobacco) in the state & appoints an 'Anti-Gutka Squad' lead by cop Shambu (Indrajith), who ruthlessly cracks down on the migrant workers in the state who were widespread users of it. This leads to a group of youngsters to enter into the gutka black market, & when Shambu busts that ring, they start a noodle business. Meanwhile Shambu was on the lookout for Bada Bhai (Sunny Wayne), the main supplier of contraband gutka.

Unni (Jayaram), a masterful chenda (a drum) player & a married man who had no interest in his own wife Kalyani (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy), is drawn to dancer Nalini (Kadambari). They have a short, but torrid affair, but they are pulled apart by Nalini's brother (Siddique), who marries Nalini off elsewhere. Unni turns into an alcoholic with deteriorating physical & mental health, whilst Nalini's new husband (Vineeth) turns out to be someone who thinks & acts like a woman.

ACP Pouran (Prithviraj), who had been itching to prove himself in the police force, implicates 2 street performers - Jumper Thampi (Baburaj) & Cross-belt Mani (Vinod Chemban) - after mistaking Thampi for the international terrorist Khalid Qureshi (Baburaj). They get the death sentence, but when Pouran learns that they are innocent, he tries to save them, but soon learns that the political machinery has no interest in freeing them.

Then an accident leaves Michael blind, adding to Gayatri's woes. At this juncture, Michael decides to create his magnum opus, & Gayatri struggles to keep up with the expenses.
