The plot involves a young couple, Ganga (Shobhana) and Nakulan (Suresh Gopi) arriving at the ancestral "Tharavadu" mansion of the latter. Ignoring the protests of their superstitious uncle, they move in to mansion, when unusual and supernatural events begin to happen. (Wikipedia)

Vijayan (Sreenivasan), a school teacher, believes that his Economics degree is enough for him to succeed in business. Taking long leaves from work, he roams around with his business schemes, all of which turn out to be failures. Karunan (Thilakan), Vijayan's father, as a last resort to reform his son, asks him to make a pilgrimage to Sabarimala. Despite his initial protests, Vijayan makes the pilgrimage. Upon his return, his family is dismayed to see that matters have swung to the other extreme.

Easwara Pillai (Thilakan) and Devakiyamma (Srividya) has two sons - Unnikrishnan (Mohanlal) and Ramakrishnan (Srinivasan). Unnikrishnan is an executive, engaged to marry Meera (Shobhana) and is under pressure to take the reins of her father's business empire. Ramakrishnan, a doctor, is unhappy, childless & has a nagging wife. Unexpectedly, Devakiyamma gets pregnant at her late age. Unnikrishnan is forced to be a surrogate parent to his new sister, whom he takes care of as his own daughter.

Unnikrishnan (Prithviraj), an honest SI (Sub-Inspector) of Police, is in stark constrast to his elder brother Ramakrishnan (Mukesh). While the former is fearless and takes on any criminal without hesitation, the latter is known in the police circles as the "spineless policeman". When Unnikrishnan gets transferred to Ramakrishnan's police station as the SI, he takes on the corrupt local leaders, cops and hoodlums there, which results in consequences for the peaceful life of their family.

Three retirees - Weather forecaster Omanakuttan Pillai (Jagathi Sreekumar), Animal protection department worker Cherian Thomas (Janardanan), and Postal worker Mahendran Thampi (Narendra Prasad) - decides to spice up their retired life by starting a drama troupe, with the help of Director Attakulangara Ambujakshan (Oduvil Unnikrishnan) and Manager Kattanam Kuttikrishnan (Indrans), much to the chagrin and skepticism of their families, and with hilarious and disastrous results.

Athaniparambil Balachandran (Mohanlal), affectionately known as "Balettan" to everyone, including his kids, is a do-gooder & simpleton who is always ready to help his villagers without regard for his own welfare. His father, a retired postmaster (Nedumudi Venu), dies after confessing to Balettan about his second wife & two daughters. Balettan keeps this a secret & looks after his stepmother & stepsisters without the knowledge of his own family, which leads to flashpoints in his personal life.

Nandagopal aka Nandu (Narein) gets sent by his uncle Shankaran Nair (Janardanan) to the village of Kalimuthuppalayam in Tamil Nadu to sell Nandu's father's house & after some initial failed attempts at selling it, Nandu decides to stay on & brings his mother & sister to live with him. He gets into a quarrel with a local bigwig & criminal Nachiappa (Rama Reddy), who starts to make life difficult for Nandu. After several instances of defeat & humiliation, his mother demands that Nandu fight back.

Ajayan (Asokan), an orphan brought up by a doctor, grows up into an introvert & confused youth. When Suma (Shobana) arrive as his foster-brother Balu's (Mammootty) wife, Ajayan gets attracted to her. This creates internal conflict within him & he leaves home. In a 2nd story Ajayan narrates about a pretty girl, Nalini (Shobana), who enters his life. Ajayan's mind shifts between reality & imagination. Finally both these stories converge to a point where both Nalini & Suma become a single entity.

When a terrorist blast rocks the Viliyam beach on February 14, the cops arrest Anwar (Bala), a Software Engineer, as the prime suspect. Responding to allegations of Anwar being framed & wrongly accused by the local police, as per court instructions, Chief Minister Madhavan (Thilakan) hands over the case to the Crime Branch DIG Hrishikesh (Suresh Gopi). Hrishikesh, along with his trusted aides Hamsa (Keerikkadan Jose) & Rappayi (Baburaj), investigates & finds links to many influential people.

Munshi Parameswaran Pillai (Oduvil) leads a simple life in his house, 'Shanti Nilayam', along with his sons Nandakumar (Innocent), Krishnakumar (Hanifa), Gopakumar (Jagathi), their wives Kausalya (K.P.A.C. Lalitha), Anandavalli (Kalaranjini), Indumathi (Bindu Panikkar) & their kids. Into this walks famous actress Yamuna Rani (Nagma) who rents the house next to them for staying during a shoot. Both husbands & wives start to fall over themselves & stretch beyond their means to impress Yamuna Rani.

A brutally raped young girl Zahira (Priyanka Nair) escapes the 2002 Gujarat riots, after her half-Keralite family is killed & ends up in Calicut, Kerala. In Calicut, prominent Muslims try to gain control of her & she runs away again. An elderly security guard, Gopalan (Thilakan) gives her shelter & a Hindu name, Radha, to hide her identity. But after Gopalan's Muslim neighbors discover her identity, Gopalan comes under fire for sheltering a Muslim girl & Zahira is moved to an orphanage.

Brahmin sisters Allu (K.P.A.C. Lalitha) & Komalam (Kalpana) are married to Ganapathi Pai (Innocent) & Ananda Pai (Jagathi), who run the family-owned business as the "Pai Brothers". Frustrated by their stinginess & sternness at work, manager Kesavan Nair (Janardanan) & his Mumbai-based mobster son Thrivikraman (Baiju) plot to turn them against each other & steal company cash. They plant an accomplice, sultry Mohini (Alphonsa), as the brothers' new steno, who starts to manipulate the Pai brothers.

Josekutty (Sudheesh), an orphan, slips into the world of crime after teaming up with petty thief Mayyanad Madhavan (Sreenivasan), but is arrested & jailed. After his release, in a heist gone wrong, he kills a security guard, for which Madhavan accepts the blame & goes to jail. Josekutty, who was trying in vain to get himself jailed, helps an old lady in distress, Rachael Mathew (Srividya), thereby becoming a member of her household & gets close to Rachael's adopted daughter Elsa (Monisha).

Aravindan (Kalabhavan Mani), a bourgeoisie ration shop owner, borrows jewelery to marry his sister off, with the hope that the jewelery he would get as dowry via his own marriage can be used to repay the debt. However, his plans are foiled when his wife Saraswathi's (Sujitha) jewelry turn out to be fake. With no other go, he borrows money from multiple usurers. All plans to repay the debts fail & faced with threats from his creditors, Aravindan decides to sell one of his kidneys, to raise money.

Aramanayil Kunchacko (Sreenivasan), a 50-year old ruthless self-made millionaire, marries Ann Mary (Meena), a 28-year old girl. However, on his wedding night, he stumbles upon his twin brother Kuncheria, whom Kunchacko believed had died when he was 15 years old, & who was now a wanted criminal & went by the name of Cleetus Poovarani. Based on Kuncheria's advise, Kunchacko turns over a new leaf & becomes an altruist. Kunchacko also takes on the task of keeping Kuncheria safe from the cops.

Malavika (Ambika) of the Udayapuram palace elopes with Abdul Rahman (Captain Raju) of the Arackal family, causing enmity between the two families. Years later, when proposals for Gopika Varma (Preetha Vijaykumar) of Udayapuram gets repeatedly impeded & it was decided to conduct a religious rite to rid Udayapuram of the string of bad luck it's been having, Malavika's son Sulaiman (Dileep) comes to Udayapuram palace, posing as Unnikrishnan Nampoothiri, to helm the rite & falls in love with Gopika.

Moz D. Samuel (Dileep) & little girl Tessy (Nivedita), who stayed afloat doing petty theft, meet rich girl Nandana Vasudev (Aswathy Ashok), younger sister of millionaire businessman Sumesh Vasudev (Rahman), during one of their capers. Nandana was in town to get Sumesh back to Bangalore, while Sumesh was hellbent on killing his ex-partner & current rival Panackal Das (Manoj K. Jayan), who had gypped him. Nandana develops a fondness towards Moz & Tessy & seeks their help in getting Sumesh back.

Unni (Kunchako Boban) & Dasan (Sudheesh), two down on the luck young men, along with their jobless friend Monayi (Kalabhavan Navas), tries to pretend their murdered boss Eppachan (Jagathi Sreekumar) is alive, to confuse his murderers & to smoke them out.

Appukuttan (Jayaram), rich do-gooder & strongman of the village of Thamarakulam, affectionately called Appoottan by the villagers, sponsors poor bright girl Ambili (Sruthi) for medical school. Mistaking Ambili's adoration towards him for love, Appoottan starts loving Ambili, but refrains from speaking his mind for fear of disturbing her studies. Five years later, Ambili becomes a doctor & starts work in Appoottan's own clinic, but Appoottan's desire for Ambili comes as a shock to her.

Dr. Balagopal (Mohanlal), a gynecologist at the Allied Hospital, tries to stop a group of terrorists who have planted bombs in 5 major cities in Kerala, & who have taken Home Minister Sakhriya Thomas (Shivaji Guruvayoor) & his new-born child, hostages.

Hareendran (Mammootty), a struggling building contractor, assumes protection of 3 neighbor girls, Devika (Sruthi), Malavika (Praveena) & Gopika (Kavya Madhavan), after their father Shekhara Menon (Thilakan) goes missing. With the help of his cop friend Sachidanandan (Sreenivasan), Hareendran also tries to unravel the secrets behind Shekhara Menon's disappearance.

SI Rajan (Jayaram) investigates the disappearance & death of a young girl Bhadra (Mangala), who also happened to be his younger sister Manikutty's (Shivani) friend. However, halfway through the investigation & after arresting a prime suspect, Parampathu Raju (Ganesh Kumar), a ruffian named Rajamani (Jayaram) turns up, vowing to free Raju & complicating things.

Krishnakumar aka Kichu (Prithviraj), a freshman, is brutally assaulted by his senior Sudhi (Bala), the youngest brother of the notorious Karimbanakattil brothers & his gang, after Sudhi takes offence to Kichu hanging out with Anjana Sivaraman (Priyamani), whom Sudhi had an eye on & whom Anjana's parents had agreed to marry off to Sudhi after college. The beating takes a severe toll on Kichu, more mentally than physically, & he returns to college a changed man, with a ferocious disposition.

Induchoodan (Renjith), a radical, along with his comrades, including best friend Harikrishnan (Siddique), plots to kill an evil landlord Chacko (Rajamani), but ends up killing someone else by mistake. Even after severe torture, a captured Induchoodan doesn't reveal any names. Jailed for 6 years, he comes out, starts life anew & raises a family, but when he learns that Chacko was still carrying on his atrocities, he leaves his life & family behind & returns to his revolutionary ways.

Kunjappu (Prithviraj), a Muslim & an obsessed Mammootty fan, takes a fancy to a girl he sees at a wedding & tries to seek an alliance with her, but his uncle engages him to a different girl by mistake. The girl he liked turns out to be Sunanda Nair (Bhama), a Hindu, whose uncle Karunakaran Ezhuthachan (Thilakan) was trying to get her to marry his son Shashi (Nishanth Sagar). Sunanda, fearing for hers & her bedridden mother's (Ambika Mohan) life, seeks Kunjappu's help in escaping from her uncle.

Sudhish Kumar aka Sudhi (Kunchako Boban), a Hindu boy, & Mini (Shalini), a Christian girl, meet & fall in love, but face fierce opposition from both their families. With Mini's elder brothers out to kill Sudhi & take Mini back, they take refuge in a fishing village, under the protection of fisherman Chellappan (Innocent), their friend Chippayi's (Harisree Asokan) father.

Prakashan (Jayasurya), more interested in loafing around & dreaming of his childhood love Ponnu (Roma), rather than do any work, finally gets his wish when Ponnu's arranged marriage gets called off due to a misunderstanding involving him & finally she decides that she would marry Prakashan. However, the night of the marriage, his dreams are shattered when he is accused of rigging the mishap which caused Ponnu's first marriage to get called off, & shunned by everyone, he is forced to leave town.

Unemployed youth Kunjananthan (Dileep) faces ridicule from his family & loses his girlfriend Shanthini (Geetha Vijayan) after he is falsely accused of a theft. Dejected with life, Kunjananthan repeatedly attempts to commit suicide, but each attempt is foiled by fate. Finally, a new job & a new girlfriend, Latha (Devayani), breathes life into his existence & he yearns to live again.

Kochu Kunju (Prithviraj), the black sheep of the affluent Vadakkan Vettil family, who made his fame & fortune in the Dubai underworld, returns to Kerala & acts goofy in front of his uncles & cousins by spending his days fistfighting & drinking. His ulterior aim - to get his father Daveed Lopes (Saikumar), whom years ago Kochu Kunju's uncles had plotted to kill, but escaped, back into the household & to end his mother Katrina's (Ambika) suffering.

Cash strapped Sivankutty (Jayasurya) comes to the village of Kunnathoor to entrap the Panchayat President Sreedharan Nair's (Nedumudi Venu) daughter in love, so that Sreedharan Nair's warring brother Raman Nair (Jagathi Sreekumar) could marry his own daughter off to their sister's son. However, the tables are turned when Sivankutty mistakenly identifies & targets Raman Nair's daughter Sreedevi (Radhika), instead of Sreedharan Nair's daughter Priya (Ramya Nambeeshan).

Dark-skinned Antony (Kalabhavan Mani) marries fair complexioned Lakshmi (Vinaya Prasad) in a love marriage & they beget a fair-skinned son Adithya (Jayasurya), but Antony constantly lives with the inferiority complex of being dark-skinned. After Adithya gets cheated in a visa fraud & gets heavily in debt, Antony takes up the job of a driver at the affluent Nellickal family house & shortly brings in Adithya as their manager & Lakshmi as their house maid, without revealing their identities.

Jewel (Archana Kavi), a rebellious teenager was always at loggerheads with her over-possessive mother Clara (Urvashi), with her hapless dovish father Joseph (Mukesh) torn in between. Jewel seeks solace in the words & guidance of a stranger on the Internet, Amir. Amir slowly reforms Jewel, with the result that Jewel falls in love with him, but this doesn't bode well with Joseph & Clara, throwing their family into a crisis.

Tea estate worker Ramankunju (Indrans) is forced to stand by the communist party, whom he held close to his heart, when the party announces a strike against the estate management, for higher wages. However, the initial glimmer of hope wears off, after the strike continues for several days, leaving Ramankunju's family in misery and starvation.

Gopi (Dileep) falls in love with his neighbor Anjali (Manju Warrier), & Anjali reciprocates, but later decides to sacrifice her love because of her still unmarried elder sisters, mute Ashwathy (Mohini) & Aarti (Chippy). Learning of her reasoning, Gopi takes it upon himself to get Ashwathy & Aarti married off, so that he & Anjali could marry. However, the sisters' abusive half-brother Raghu (Meghanadhan) poses a threat to Gopi's plans.

Hotshot lawyers Harikrishnan aka 'Hare' (Mammootty) & Harikrishnan aka 'Krishnan' (Mohanlal), at the behest of Hare's sister Ammalu (Shamili), takes up the case of defending a mute & deaf man, Gabriel (V.K. Sriraman), who was accused of killing a young college professor & poet Guptan (Rajiv Menon). However, when they meet Meera (Juhi Chawla), whom they first suspected to be Guptan's girlfriend, but who later turned out to be just a friend to Guptan, they also start competing to win her heart.

In the power struggle between the left-wing communist party led by Sivankutty (Manoj K. Jayan) & the coalition of right-wing parties led by P. Divakaran (Rizabawa), M.P. Rajappan (Narendra Prasad) & Marakkar Haji (Narayanan Nair), in the northern Kerala state of Kannur, Sivankutty loses his father & later, his brother Unnikrishnan (Sudheesh) in plots engineered by Divakaran & his coterie. In revenge, Sivankutty seeks their contract killer, Panniyannoor Dasan (Raghu).

The patriarch of the Arakkal family, Madhavanunni (Mammootty), dotes over his 4 younger brothers & they in turn are ready to kill or die for Madhavanunni. Patteri Sivaraman Nair (Saikumar), their cousin & Madhavanunni's arch rival, bitter over his constant failures at the hands of Madhavanunni, teams up with Mambram Bava (N.F. Varghese), a communal leader & kingpin, to hurt Madhavanunni by targeting his brothers.

Village simple Kocherukkan (Jayasurya) elopes with his childhood sweetie Malli (Mythili), a maid at the house of wealthy Chandrasekhara Vazhunnor (Saikumar), & they stay with their pal Murugan (Sudheesh) to eke out a living. However, cop Kumaranesan (Siddique) who had lost an eye trying to stop their elopement, catches up with them & arrests Kocherukkan for a bunch of fabricated crimes. Eager to see Malli, Kocherukkan breaks out of jail, only to become more wanted in the eyes of the law.

Based on Madhavikutty's novel 'Manomi', with the Sri Lankan Civil War as the backdrop, Tamil poet & radical Thiruchelvam (Suresh Gopi), on the run from the cops, hides out at a house in the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, where he meets Manomi (Mithra Kurian), a Sinhalese girl who tends to his wounds. Manomi falls in love with Thiruchelvam, but he spurns her love to continue his mission. Years later, Thiruchelvam returns to the place, on the run again, this time determined to meet his mother & Manomi.

Chanthappan (Narendra Prasad) & Chathukkutty (Nedumudi Venu), two lifelong friends, the former a Kalari artist & the latter a singer, are the prominent individuals of the village, each of them having 5 sons each. Into this walks in beautiful Meera (Annie), their new tenant, causing Chanthappan's & Chathukkutty's sons to fall over each other to get her attention. But Meera later claims to be Chathukkutty's lovechild, throwing Chanthappan, Chathukkutty & their sons into confusion.

Reghuram (Prithviraj), a convict escaping parole, hides out in a remote village with two of his friends, where he falls in love with village belle Thatha (Navya Nair). However, Thatha's hot-tempered elder brother would have none of it, & comes between them. Meanwhile, the cops get hot on Reghuram's trail, complicating matters.

Neelakantan (Harishree Ashokan), a down-on-the-luck young man, neck in debt & unable to hold down a job, steals & pawns his wife Savithri's (Aswathi) golden "aranjanam" (waist band) with the local rich man Ravunni (Innocent) to raise some money. The aranjanam starts a long string of issues for Neelakantan & Ravunni after Neelakantan gets hell from Savithri for pawning the jewellery & Ravunni starts getting obsessed with the aranjanam & subsequently, with Savithri herself.

Rajalakshmi (Suhasini), an unwilling young lady & the daughter of a late popular politician, is drawn into politics after she is asked to run for office as an MLA by her family & the ruling party. She wins & soon after, a ton of responsibilities land on her shoulders. Seeing the plight of her constituents at the hands of the local crime boss Krishnamoorthy, who had the cops & the politicians on his payroll, Rajalakshmi starts a crusade to bring him to justice.

Anandakuttan & his uncle Keshu (Jagathi Sreekumar) go to Tamil Nadu to meet Anandakuttan's long-gone sister Anandavalli (Shobha Mohan) who had eloped 20 years ago with a Tamil. Anandakuttan brings back Anandavalli's daughter Parvathi (Roja), who takes a fancy to him & wants to marry him per Tamil customs. Parvathi's cousin Kannayya follows suit from Tamil Nadu, to take Parvathi back & to cut off Anandakuttan's leg - a promise Kannayya made to Parvathi's dad Thirupathi Perumal (Kalabhavan Mani).

Sankaran Nambiar (Jayasurya) dies on the day after his marriage due to snakebite, leaving a bereaved family behind. As his younger brother Mohanan (Jayasurya) tries to move on with life, he starts getting visions of Sankaran, trying to convince Mohanan that he hasn't died. Soon the visions become more frequent, & when Rajalakshmi (Meera Nandan), Sankaran's widow, decides to remarry, Sankaran's ghost urges Mohanan to stop the marriage, resulting in a series of attempts by Mohanan to foil it.

Genius inventor Bharathan (Biju Menon) discovers a way to levitate objects using the power of nature, but starts to suffer amnesia about it soon after. As the scientists of the world look on, famed neuropsychiatrist G.R. Pandal (Suresh Gopi) is brought in from London to cure Bharathan. Pandal proposes a treatment, but which had the possible side effect of Bharathan forgetting his wife Geetha (Geethu Mohandas) completely. Initially opposed to the idea, Geetha is finally persuaded by Pandal.

Kunjunni (Kalabhavan Mani) is a young man of the Perumannur village who is loved by all. Radha (Meera Nandan), who belonged to a gypsy group, comes to the village to sell statuettes of Lord Krishna. Kunjunni & Radha fall in love, but Radha's father opposes the marriage because Kunjunni was an orphan. Kunjunni later finds out that he actually belongs to a rich family & he had run away from home 20 years back, because his mother Yashoda (Saranya) was too strict & disregarded his musical talents.

Jose (Vijayaraghavan), a down-on-the-luck producer of yesteryears, tries for a comeback after Haritha (Kriti Kapoor), a heroine he once introduced to cinema & who was now a star, gives him dates for a movie. Superstar Ravi Prakash (Asokan), who also used to be a protege of Jose, initially promises him dates, but later reneges on his word. Desperate, Jose & the film crew casts Sajan (Anoop Menon), a still photographer, as the new hero. They face numerous curveballs along the way from Ravi.

Vishwanathan (Mukesh), Managing Director of 'Bharathi Tyres' was a carefree guy in attitude & with expenses, in stark contrast to his frugal & pragmatic wife Anitha (Sonia Agarwal), with the result that Anitha often got frustrated at his extravagance. Alex Chandy (Siddique), Vishwanathan's old rival, arrives in town at the helm of a competing tire company & drives Bharathi Tyres out of business. Out of work, Vishwanathan is forced to downsize & is supported by Anitha, who joins Alex's company.

The film has 4 separate chapters - 'Kallante Makan' (The Thief), 'Niyamavum Neethiyum' (The Police), 'Oru Koottukaran' (Two Men and a Woman), 'Pankiyamma' (One Woman and Two Men) - each based on independent short stories written by Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai. The film is about 4 crimes of different nature that happen in different contexts and situations. The setting is the Princely State of Travancore, South India in the 1940s.

Bavutti (Mamootty), an orphan who works as the caretaker & driver of a rich businessman Sethu (Shankar Ramakrishnan), tries to keep Sethu's family together when Sethu's wife Vanaja (Kavya Madhavan) gets a vistor from her past - her ex-boyfriend Satheesh (Vineeth) whom she thought to be dead but who now threatens to reveal their past to Sethu, unless Vanaja pays him a large sum of money.

Rajiv Nair (Anoop Menon), a good-hearted & upright veterinarian, leading a happy life with his wife Renuka (Meghana Raj) & 2 daughters, struggles to save up enough to build his dream house. Frustrated, he finally resorts to misusing his official position & taking bribes to raise cash for a new house. Trying to cut corners, he takes a trip to Karnataka to buy granite for his new house & ends up being accused for murder after an altercation where he is forced to defend himself.

Set in a remote 1980s Oriya village, a Malayali Christian police constable, Christudas (Unni Mukundan), falls in love with an Oriya girl, Suneyi (Sanika Nambiar), whom he was assigned to protect. Hanging over Suneyi's head was the fear of being inducted as a "Devadasi" (a glorified whore) because of some age-old custom of the land, where she would be a concubine to the rich priest & bigwig in the village, Kamadeva Pradhan (Nigel Akkara). Christudas & Suneyi decide to elope to escape the fate.

Puramanayil Chandran (Mohanlal), an NRI, is summoned by his family to his hometown to get married, where he runs across his childhood sweetheart Indira (Shobana), now married with a kid. Indira's estranged husband Dr. Reghuram (Adithya), an abusive junkie, doesn't take kindly to their meeting, & threatens Chandran's family. Seeing Indira's plight, Chandran gets protective of them.

Anil Kumar Bokaro (Minon), a class V student in the village of Kaviyoor, Thiruvalla, gets an assignment from his teacher Mukundan (Indrajith) to come up with 101 questions about his surroundings & the life around him. As the highly observant Anil goes about coming up with the questions, the situation at his home slowly deteriorates as his father Sivanandan (Murugan) loses his factory job & his mother Sati (Lena) struggles to feed the family with her meagre income as a manual laborer.

Deepu (Jayaram) is the pet & indispensable brother of his 5 sisters. After a long & hard search for a bride for Deepu, they all settle on Priya (Samyuktha Varma) & the wedding is conducted with pomp. However Deepu was in for a shock when he learns that Priya was mentally ill. Refusing to leave Priya, & against his family's will, Deepu takes Priya to a mental institution run by an unorthodox doctor (Lalu Alex), to cure her illness.

A couple - Sam (Bhagath Baby Manuel) & Abhirami (Archana Kavi) - plan to embezzle Rs. 1 crore from the bank they worked in. For that, they needed the help of one more trustworthy employee & Abhirami feigns love to Arjun (Maqbool Salmaan), an employee at the bank to bring him into their plan.

Outspoken Achutha Kurup (Jagathi Sreekumar) is the oldest patriarch of the Mankoyikkal family, but who is now persona non grata within his extended family, as each family tries to get rid of him as he takes turns visiting them. His eldest nephew, Prabhakaran (Balachandra Menon), seeing his state, writes a fake letter to each family, including his own, claiming that Kurup owned a big plot of land worth lakhs.
