In the reality TV obsessed Kerala, a TV channel, 'Real TV', decides to telecast live, the life of a young girl, Manjula Ayyappan (Nithya Menon), the first contestant of a new reality show called 'Thatsamayam Oru Penkutty', that has an entire camera crew following her wherever she goes for a month. Manjula transforms from a villager to a pop icon on-screen, while a ruthless channel CEO Ravi (Siddique) & senior producer Thomas Joseph (Baburaj) manipulates her life to keep the show's rating high.
On the day of festivities at an apartment complex, 8 people - lift operator Thampuran (Indrajith), cop Siyad Ahmed (Ganesh Kumar), builder Sam Christy (Baiju), his wife Prasanna (Ramya Nambeeshan), an alkie writer Edathil Govindan Nair (Prathap Pothen), techie Sooraj (Ranjith Menon), his girlfriend Mitra (Sruthi Menon), a US-returnee Cherian (Nandu) - & a kid (Devaraman) get stuck in a lift. While there, they find the body of a girl on the roof of the lift, & Siyad tries to solve her murder.
