Grandmother" is a highly romanticized autobiographical novel by a Czech 19th century writer, Bozena Nemcova. It's a classical, compulsory reading in Czech schools, about a wise, working-class woman, happier in her simplicity and good heart than the nobles whom she serves.

Professor Karas is widely known as enthusiastic propagator of the motto "Morality Above All Else". He guides his students as well as his own family to live a morally decent life. One day he has an unexpected visit. It's his illegitimate daughter Vera, who is proof of his thoughtless youth. Mr. Karas know that she can ruin his image, thus he decides to keep her a secret and asks her to leave. Instead of leaving she takes a position of a governess in his own family without letting him know.

After losing his job,Florian goes to Prague to see a girl he recently met.However, as he does not know her name,he accidentally comes to a villa of movie star Elvira.He finds here a love letter and by mistake thinks it is addressed to him.

Early Czech wartime comedy

Curious citizens await the arrival of an important guest, the son of poacher, who became famous abroad. Begins celebration in his honor, but nobody knows that instead of the hero arrived cursory prisoner number 1313. He quickly understand how things are and decides to take the opportunity and very quickly gets into a new role.

This Czech sophisticated romantic comedy, filmed by director Anton also in a parallel French version (“Une petite femme dans le train”), casts beautiful Czech star Baarova in the role that Meg Lemonnier played in the Gallic version.

An unsuccessful composer falls in love with the beautiful daughter of a musical publisher. As he is unemployed, he pretends that he is his own uncle, a man with a good job in the company.

This light-hearted comedy operetta tells the story of a newly appointed high school professor who becomes an ideal target for pranks and jokes.
