Umagoya no reijô
Cult filmmaker Hisayasu Sato achieved a bizarre sort of success with his 1990 film Uma To Onna To Inu, leading him to return to the same tainted well with this warped look at a woman who lives in the middle of nowhere with a horse for a lover. The horse is also her best friend, and they communicate through telepathy as well as engage in intimate acts too unnatural to describe here. Unfortunately for all concerned, some photographers and models show up to upset the idyllic romance. (All Movie Guide)
Tokyo Booty Nights
Yuji and Akiko are newlyweds. Yuji dreams of being a movie star. He lands the lead role in a Pink Eiga soft-core sex film. The director requires him to have sex with the actress. Akiko goes to her high school reunion and is raped by a drunken guy, and then hooks up with her ex-high school love. A dark and comedic look at contemporary relationships and the pitfalls of married life. The story was written by Locarno International Film Festival, Golden Leopard Prize Winner, Masahiro Kobayashi. (Pink Eiga)
Dirty Scoundrels
Yuji is an engaged businessman, who decides to grope Asuka, a pretty young girl, on a busy Tokyo commuter train. The cheap thrill turns expensive as Yuji discovers she took this opportunity to steal his wallet. Later on, Asuka finds Yuji and approaches him with an indecent partnership proposal. This film is another quality installment from the Chikan Densha Groper Train series – the longest-running film series in the world. (Over 500 Groper Train films have been made!)
Angel in September
One day, Hitomi observes her classmate Eriko stealing lipstick in a drugstore and follows her home. The two young women get to know and love each other. While the withdrawn Hitomi believes herself and Eriko to be reincarnations of angel warriors who once fought demon armies, her emancipated and apathetic friend wanders through life between sex contacts with older men and fear of falling into a boring bourgeois existence. The different futures of the two soon lead to tensions.
Coconut Clash
Rie, who moved to Tokyo from a rural mining town and is penniless after being cheated by her boyfriend, enters the world of underground wrestling by chance. This is a ridiculous ensemble drama inspired by Shinji Somai’s “Luminous Woman” and incorporating the setting of “Tomorrow’s Joe” (Ashita no Joe). It stars Aya Mizutorigawa, an idol of the pink film industry at the time.
A Fart of Monk
The story is about Nagatoshi, a handsome and sexy monk played by Kazuhiro Sano, who is struggling for the widow he loves. Foreshadowing the prophecy of the Great Kanto Earthquake, the film is a highly entertaining theatrical spectacle that depicts the human condition of a downtown area undergoing development and the efforts of men and women who rebel against it.
First Love
This is a story about coming of age, coming out, and a gay marriage that is sprinkled with both love and comedy, at the center of which is a teenager who doesn’t yet know what he wants.
Romantic Mania
A love story in the style of a psycho-thriller, depicting the relationship between a female police officer who continues to have an affair and the men who surround her, along with the progress of a bizarre incident. Due to various circumstances, the theatrical release was postponed and the work announced as OV was released to the public at a special screening at the Kamemei Painting Theater in Tokyo.
Upcoming Scenery
Junko, who has precognition, predicted her senior's death and disappeared from her fiancé's life. Five years later, Junko, who works in a peep-shop, reunites with Kazuki and rekindles their love, but tragedy soon ensues. Hotaru Hatsuki, one of the most popular actresses of the 1990s, gives a strong performance in this poignant tale of a woman's attempt to escape her fate.
