Jan is struck as if by lightning the first time he sees the Orange Girl, is sure he has found the love of his life and searches for her. Georg, his son, finds love while in the Norwegian mountains, but he has difficulties understanding his own feelings. 20 years later Georg hears the story of his father's quest for the Orange Girl through a letter he receives on his 16th birthday.
