Millionaire G. Hareendra Varma (Indrajith), owner of the IT firm 'Starline Software', achieved success at a young age. His constant companion & friend GK (Jayasurya) dreams of becoming the Director of Starline, someday. Hareendran weaves dreams around Indu (Bhama), the girl his mother proposed that he marry. GK ruins the wedding by causing Indu to walk out with her lover Alex (Manikuttan). This shatters Hareendran & he takes to drinking. Later, GK is found dead & the blame falls on Hareendran.

Wealthy businessman C.E. Francis (Mammootty) aka "Pranchi" constantly laments the lack of recognition & respect he gets in the society & embarks on various ways to obtain them with his endless money, including trying to buy 'Padma Shri', the 4th highest civilian award in India. In between his misadventures, he meets Pauli (Ganapathi), a bright, but fractious 10th grade student who shunned studies. Pranchi takes Pauli under his wing & their interactions change Pranchi's perception of life.

Stephen Louis (Jayasurya), a wealthy quadriplegic, goes through life with a smiling face, with the realization that the people around him are really after his wealth, & not there for his sake. He takes a fascination to a struggling musician, John (Anoop Menon), & takes him under his wing. They form a deep bond of friendship.

In the cutthroat real estate market of Kozhikode, two small-time brokers & pals, Jayaprakash aka J.P. (Prithviraj) & C. Hameed aka C.H. (Tini Tom), battle it out with the big fish. In a bid to close a real estate deal, make a fortune overnight & to win his lady love Beena (Rima Kallingal), J.P. tries to raise Rs. 1 crore at short notice, for which he resorts to counterfeit money. Giving sage advice to him was Achutha Menon (Thilakan), a derelict old man whom J.P. had taken under his wing.

In the reality TV obsessed Kerala, a TV channel, 'Real TV', decides to telecast live, the life of a young girl, Manjula Ayyappan (Nithya Menon), the first contestant of a new reality show called 'Thatsamayam Oru Penkutty', that has an entire camera crew following her wherever she goes for a month. Manjula transforms from a villager to a pop icon on-screen, while a ruthless channel CEO Ravi (Siddique) & senior producer Thomas Joseph (Baburaj) manipulates her life to keep the show's rating high.

Dharmarajan (Thalaivasal Vijay), a struggling stunt coordinator who gets some work from his old protege, director Adithyan (Anoop Menon), introduces his old pupil Tarzan Antony (Prithviraj Sukumaran) as a stunt man in the movie & Antony captures the fancy of the heroine, Gowri Menon (Yami Gautam), with his daring stunts. This doesn't bode well with the hero of the movie, Premanandh (Srikanth), who walks out of Adithyan's next movie. Adithyan takes up the challenge & casts Antony as the new hero.

After a late-realization that he is an alcoholic, TV celebrity Raghunandan (Mohanlal) decides to fight his alcoholism, which had once wrecked his marriage. After turning sober, Raghunandan, through his show 'Show D' Spirit' exposes the societal effects of chronic alcoholism in Kerala by following the life of a chronic alcoholic, a plumber by the name of Maniyan (Nandu).

'Friday', told in the format of 'hyperlink cinema', tells the stories of many people who in a town on 11-11-11, whose lives gets interwoven together by a couple of incidents. In the first incident, an elderly man (Nedumudi Venu) loses the jewellery & cash he had set aside for his granddaughter's wedding in an autorickshaw driven by Balu (Fahad Fazil) & goes in frantic search for it. In the second incident, most of the characters in the movie end up in a boat which meets with an accident.

Tipped off about an impending heist at Lemo Bank, a new generation bank in Kochi, IPS officer Sravan Varma (Anoop Menon) & his team goes undercover as customers in the bank on the scheduled day of the heist, only to find that a murder takes place there instead. Someone cuts off the power supply for a few minutes, within which a rich playboy is killed by an incision to the throat. Sravan cordons off the bank, detains everyone there & races to solve the murder before the bank closed at 4 PM.

Rajiv Nair (Anoop Menon), a good-hearted & upright veterinarian, leading a happy life with his wife Renuka (Meghana Raj) & 2 daughters, struggles to save up enough to build his dream house. Frustrated, he finally resorts to misusing his official position & taking bribes to raise cash for a new house. Trying to cut corners, he takes a trip to Karnataka to buy granite for his new house & ends up being accused for murder after an altercation where he is forced to defend himself.

A stranger (Jayasurya) takes the police department on a wild goose chase & terrifies the city as he sets off bomb scares across different places in town that the cops now have to chase down, verify & defuse.

The German Malayali association of the town of Mettmann recruits a volunteer amongst them, Mathukkutty (Mammootty), to go to Kerala & book movie star Mohanlal for their 25th anniversary festivities. Mathukkutty, leading a frustrated life as a house husband with a bossy wife Jhansamma (Muthumani), jumps at the chance & uses the opportunity to connect with old friends & relatives, including his ex-flame Rosy (Alisha Mohammed), whom he had to dump 15 years earlier to marry Jhansamma.

When Godman Swami Poornananda aka K.K. Prasannan Nair (Kunchacko Boban), is accused of child sacrifice & arrested, his elder brother Bhaskaran (Suraaj Venjarammoodu) talks to the investigating officers about Prasannan's past, & how he starts off as a Hindu nationalist & a laborer, then a law student & a communist, then a rich businessman & an alcoholic, then a Pentecostal Christian pastor, then a mental patient & finally a Godman, all in response to different situations & influences in his life.

Vivekanandan (Jayaram), struggling to pay off his father's debts & his own, finally he decides to rob a house to raise cash, but ends up entering into a contract with the owner of the house Harinarayanan (Suresh Krishna) to kill his wife Devika (Mallika), as Harinarayanan suspected Devika to be having an affair with his womanizer friend Venkita Krishnan (Kailash). Vivekanandan, along with his friends Najeeb Kecheri (Sudheesh) & Keshavan (Anoop Chandran) try to get close to Devika.

Chandran Pillai (Jayaram) is a widower from a village in Kerala. Bhama (Meera Nandan), who is a teacher, wants to get married to Chandran Pillai & be a mother to his son, whom she likes a lot. Chandran travels to Madirasi to buy a brand new bike for his son. Jay, along with 4 friends - Neha (Leona Lishoy), Neel (Vishnu Warrier), Andrea (Andrea Fortis) & Sergio (Sergio Kalei) - go to the forests of the Silent Valley National Park in Kerala to get to the bottom of the mystery.

To keep a promise his father Philipose made to his late wife Sara (Nimisha Suresh), Isaac Newton (Lal), now in his late 30s, has been writing SSLC for 17 years to no avail, despite the promise of marriage to his childhood sweetheart Annie (Abhinaya). Newton's chances are further foiled by the new rich guy in the village, George, who had his eye on Annie & uses his wealth & influence to turn Annie's family against Newton & frames Newton for the murder of Annie's uncle Varkey (Chempil Asokan).

With 7 days to go before the wedding between Ad-film maker Aby (Dileep) & model Ann (Parvathy Nambiar), trouble comes calling when Aby runs across his ex-flame Sini (Rima Kallingal), now married with a kid. A stranger, Baijuraj (Anil Rajgopal), accosts them & accuses them of having an affair, but he soon ends up hospitalized after being attacked by someone. Then when Sini gets threatening calls from someone making the same claims as Baijuraj, they try to find the person manipulating their lives.

3 juvenile delinquents - Balu (Rohith), Ananthan(Achu Arun Kumar) & Musthafa (Vishnu Unnikrishnan) - escape from a juvie & become suspects in the rape & murder of Aswathi (Anu Sithara), Balu's girlfriend. CI Santosh Kumar (Tini Tom) is tasked to find & bring them to justice.

A group of college students & friends - Dhiya (Pankaja Menon), Chinna (Vishnu Mohan), Hashim (Hashim Hussain), Katharine (Anjali Ajayan), Yamini (Neha Ramesh) - go to Rajasthan to attend Yamini's sister's wedding, & there Dhiya falls in love with Pavan Thakur (Arun Shankar) from the Rajput clan. Dhiya speaks her mind to Pavan & Pavan reciprocates, but they face stiff opposition from Pavan's family & clan.

Mamachan (Biju Menon),a small-town politician, uses his ingenuity & shrewdness to get the girl of his dreams, Lisa (Nikki Galrani), & win an election to become the M.L.A.

Fish auctioneer Malik (Mammootty) is forced to give shelter to a Jewish British citizen, Michelle (Caroline Bech), after she is forced to leave her hotel, Hotel Casalinda. As Malik couldn't speak or understand a word of English & Michelle a word of Malayalam, Malik tries to learn English. 3 friends - Joe Joseph Thiruthanathil (Anoop Menon), K.T. Salman (Suraaj Venjarammoodu), Umesh Pisharadi (Nobi) - running away from their creditors, & a female taxi driver Devayani (Kavya Madhavan), driving some female passengers - get embroiled in a plot of a priceless missing Tibetan painting called '5 Tibetians'.

Village simpleton Prakashan (Fahadh Faasil) comes from a remote village in Gujarat to Bangalore to find a buyer for his land in Koyilandy, Kerala, to settle his debts in Gujarat. However, unable to find a buyer, & in desperate need of cash, Prakashan, who was a look-alike of the famous Malayalam movie star Fahadh Faasil, decides to impersonate him in return for money.

A first-time movie director, Kishore Kumar (Maqbool Salmaan), gets conned into making a screenplay into a movie, which turns out to be the frame-by-frame copy of a Korean movie. Shortly after Kishore's movie becomes a success, the director of the Korean movie approaches him & demands 5 crores in payment within 15 days.

Alby (Jayasurya) & Meera (Honey Rose) were a poor interfaith couple with a cancer-stricken son Jerry, who they were struggling to keep alive. A surgery was going to cost 13 lakhs, & based on a classified they put in the paper for donations, an elderly man (Shanawas) offers Alby the money, in return for killing a person (Vineeth). Desperate, Alby commits the crime, but also had to abduct the victim's son Rasul (Gourav Menon) who was a witness to the crime, & who also happened to be Jerry's pal.

C.P. Swathanthran (Mammootty), the son of Late Parameshwaran Pillai (Joy Mathew), a Gandhian, is fighting his relative Soman Thampi (Sunil Sukhada), to reclaim his ancestral assets. Listening to his pals' dopy advises, C.P. constantly loses money & face, with the latest being a hunger strike at the Trivandrum Secretariat, to erect a statue of his father in his village Kokraankara. C.P.'s love interest Umadevi (Jewel Mary), meanwhile was striking nearby to find the killers of a murdered student.

In the London suburbs, high drama ensues in a family after an elderly lady passes away & her kids start feuding over her estate and her funeral arrangements.

Randu is a socio-political satire that hilariously portrays how the quite normal life of a village youth namely Vava is disturbed by the acts of some communal groups in the village.
