The daughter has been into some tough environments, and when her 21 year old boyfriend soon turns up dead in a hotel room in Bergen, Veum soon ends up doing his best to protect the girl from the police, who regard her as the main suspect of the murder. Only after the wife of another member in the party is killed by mistake, does he accept the job. This leaves Veum in the middle of a political power struggle, filled with conspiracy and corruption.

The plot spins around Veum's girlfriends sister. Her sister is a prostitute, and through her discovered shady actions, drug dealing, pimping and other criminal activity.
