Giri R. Menon (Jayaram), a station master at the hill station of Krishnagudi, in Andhra Pradesh, falls in love with Meenakshi (Manju Warrier), sister-in-law of Army Major Pavithran (Balachandra Menon). Meenakshi, bound to a promise she gave her father (Narendra Prasad) to marry her parentless cousin & spoiled brat Akhilendran (Biju Menon), initially rejects Giri's proposal, but eventually agrees to accept Giri, if Akhil doesn't turn up in 6 months' time.
The male-hating residents of the Eshwari Madam house - Chinthamani Ammal (K.P.A.C. Lalitha), Ponnamma (Kalpana), Nancy Joseph (Vinaya Prasad), Vasundhara (Rudra) & Bhagyarekha (Urvashi) - get into a fix when a mysterious intruder (Jagathi Sreekumar) they strike down during the night, loses his memory & starts behaving like a 4 year old, calling himself "Ikru". They struggle to keep Ikru away from outsiders while trying to figure out his identity & the real reason he was there.
Dark-skinned Antony (Kalabhavan Mani) marries fair complexioned Lakshmi (Vinaya Prasad) in a love marriage & they beget a fair-skinned son Adithya (Jayasurya), but Antony constantly lives with the inferiority complex of being dark-skinned. After Adithya gets cheated in a visa fraud & gets heavily in debt, Antony takes up the job of a driver at the affluent Nellickal family house & shortly brings in Adithya as their manager & Lakshmi as their house maid, without revealing their identities.
Four inmates - Benny (Mukesh), Keshu (Thilakan), Krishnankutty (Jagathi Sreekumar) & Venu (Siddique) - escape from a mental asylum & embark on an adventure in Kochi. They get jobs, get recruited as actors in a TV show & inadvertently stop a bank robbery.
A famous character of Kerala folklore, Raman (Thilakan), respectfully called 'Perumthachan' (the master carpenter) was a master carpenter, sculptor & architect. Raman begets a son, Kannan (Prashanth), who later becomes more famous than him, decreasing Raman's importance & causing subtle feelings of animus & one-upmanship between them. When Kannan falls in love with Kunjikkavu (Monisha), daughter of Maambatta Unni (Nedumudi Venu), who was Raman's patron, Raman tries in vain to discourage Kannan.
Solomon (Dileep), a timid young man, gets constantly bullied by his lover Mary's (Bhavana) brothers who oppose their relationship. However his life changes when a beefy stranger (Biju Menon) lands in town whom he befriends & who puts a stop to people bullying Solomon. Solomon tells everyone, including his own family, that the stranger was his long lost brother Jose. Then Solomon learns that the stranger was an ex-con who had served time for rape & murder & he gets worried for his own family.
Spoilt brat Jagan (Kuldeep) gets thrown out of the house by his elder brother Vikramaditya Varma (Devan) for drag racing & causing damage. He heads to the bar to have a few drinks where it gets worse, with Hazari (Irshad), brother of dreaded don Ikhtar (Manoj K. Jayan), getting murdered in an accident & Jagan assumed to be the murderer. Ikhthar sets his men after Jagan, & Jagan goes on the run, with the clock vigorously ticking away.
Mimicry artist Charlie (Dileep) lands in Spain looking for a job & due to his culinary skills, ends up in the kitchen of rich diplomat Phillip De' Alve & gets close to his beautiful but blind daughter Camila (Daniela Zacherl). Camila, who was still mourning the death of her lover Rahul (Kunchako Boban), finds a friend in Charlie & seeing their intimacy, Phillip decides to get them married. An rapt Charlie goes to India to inform his mom, but while is he away, Phillip dies & Rahul shows up alive.
Pooja Mathew (Nazriya Nazim), the tomboyish daughter of Dr. Mathew Devasya, while in school, takes a fancy to local farmer boy & her personal hero Giri (Nivin Pauly), who was omnipresent in their village affairs. However, her first advances result in heartache as Giri snubs her saying she was too young. Later, Giri leaves for China while Pooja goes to medical school. They run into each other again after Giri's return, which reignites Pooja's feelings & she starts trying to win him over again.
In the village of Mandaramkadavu, wannabe inventor Apoorvan (Jayaram) & his cohorts Chopra (Baburaj) & Babumon (Kalabhavan Shajohn) get into trouble when they lose Rs. 1 crore of the villagers' money in a scam claiming to provide solar energy to the village. Escaping from the village, they plot to kidnap a wealthy old lady Rosemary (Sheela) & demand a tidy sum as a ransom from her son. However, the tables are turned when they learn that Rosemary had planned the snatch all along & was using them.

Madhavan (Dileep), an educated man from Bisonvalley, Idukki, comes to Kochi to stay with his brother's family after his brother's (Ganesh Kumar) sudden death. His brother, who was a Customs Officer, was found dead in mysterious circumstances & Madhavan suspects foul play.
