Wataru Watanabe

Sakamichi Onoda is an anime otaku who is entering Sohoku High School. He is passionate about anime. In middle school, Onoda did not have any friends with whom he could talk about his interests, but he initially hopes to change that now by joining his new school's anime club. Yowamushi Pedal Movie takes place after the end of the second season, after the Inter High finishes. Sohoku is invited to the annual "Kumamoto, Country of Fire Yamanami Race" where prominent Inter High teams compete on Aso Mountain in Kumamoto.
