A professor who has won a Paris painting scholarship proposes to a dark haired woman who rejects him because of her past: She had been seduced by a man she asked for help with her dying mother , and kept by him as his so called niece.

John Harland is a former boxer turned reverend posted to the town of Kangaroo. He falls in love with Muriel, an orphaned heiress, and discovers that her guardian Martin Giles is embezzling her inheritance. Harland earns the ire of parishioners by teaching young boys to box, and Giles manipulates local opinion to have the bishop remove him. Harland rescues a gentleman from a mugging in Sydney who suggests that he go to Kalmaroo where a criminal gang has driven the church out of the area.

Tarzan and Jane are to sail for England. They are attacked by natives and Tarzan is believed to have been killed.

Fatty and his girlfriend are at the beach. He stops to watch some boys who have a jelly-fish. An intertitle reads: "A Fine Specimen of Jelly-Fish". There is a close-up of the jiggling jelly-fish. one of the boys tells Fatty that he is like the jiggling jelly-fish. Fatty knocks him down and leaves. The boys decide to get him. As Fatty kisses his girlfriend, the boys sneak up and hit him on the head. He gives chase, falls and gives up. A man in a wheelchair is being wheeled into a garden.

Action scenes of early automobile racing highlight this story of Papa's efforts to thwart Mabel's romantic infatuation with a race car driver. (imdb)

A discouraged prospector is about to give up his search when he hears his two little children praying, “Please, God, help papa find gold.” Their faith gives him new hope and their prayer is efficacious, for he does find it and so stakes the claim, intending to register it at his earliest opportunity. Meanwhile “Faro Kate” and her gambler husband ride by the claim and jump it, the husband urging Kate to go to the Claim Office and register it.
