"Even though the story was told in kind of a perfunctory manner, I really enjoyed all of the performances . I also felt it was probably more realistic than most movies that tell this story. Certainly it made these people, both the men and women more real to me. It also brought things about the civil war to my attention that I had never really thought about before."

"I love this show until about the 5th season. After that everyone is just to much. Carla is too mean, Cliff is too stupid etc. Sam is just too much of everything. Kirstie Alley is a welcome character. She can be very funny."
