"Frustrating. There’s a malaise that permeates everything and everyone in this film, which makes it feel dull, meandering and toothless, despite it having all the ingredients to be something great. It’s beautifully located and shot, and I enjoyed how self-contained it was, but it just plods along and peters out. Maybe that’s by design, part of the strange logic that guides it, but it just falls flat because of this."
