Standard rom-com. Good for a date night but I’m gonna forget this in a month.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026) - Rated 25 Jun 2026
Mango and Grok go on another predictable adventure with plenty of action (which genuinely I’m fine with) but little plot and character development. Essentially two episodes mashed into one with an inflated budget. It’s just… fine?

Not sure how this made it to theaters. It belongs on Tubi… Netflix if they were lucky. Only saw this because of my wife. It was as insufferable as I expected. I’m not sure what is so entertaining about seeing an incapable father struggle with very basic tasks in such an overwhelming dramatic fashion. For me, I just shake my head. Yes I know it’s meant to be overdramatic, but dang this is so unbelievably stupid. Watching everything and everyone making fun of this dude gets so old so fast, a - Full Review

About what you would expect for a literal acid trip movie.

What a great achievement for indie films. I really enjoyed watching this and think it is a great success. For once, in recent movie history, you could tell that the makers of the film CARED about what they were creating. Despite its flaws-which there are a few-this movie felt lovingly crafted for years out of passion for the art of filmmaking and because its just freaking cool to make stuff. It was not thrown together by a greedy corporation... - Full Review

Toy Story 5
Toy Story 5 (2026) - Rated 20 Jun 2026
A very generic, safe sequel. I don’t think it could be any more clear that we all spend too much time on devices and not enough time using our imagination. It just feels… bland. Maybe because this is the FIFTH movie in a series that didn’t need to be a series. Even parts that are reminiscent of the emotional beats from the originals feel so forced and manufactured I can’t help but shake my head. They must be trying so hard to bring back something that once was great. I ask you Disney… why?

I came in not expecting a whole lot, knowing the bare minimum about the subject matter, and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. - Full Review

Project Hail Mary
Project Hail Mary (2026) - Rated 30 Mar 2026
A great movie in the 2020’s seems hard to come by these days. I’m not usually a fan of movies set in open space/on a spaceship, but this had me hooked. What feels so good about watching this is that there is finally a well-written protagonist to connect with, which seems so hard to come by anymore. Gosling’s character is fun and witty, but not so childish that the emotional moments miss their mark with unnecessary humor. It’s nice to see... - Full Review

The Rip

Liked the setup of the story and acting between Affleck and Damon. The twist was a little predictable but still had me tense and cathartic at the reveal. It’s a fun watch but you can tell the writers try to make it more than just that… a fun watch. I think it desperately wants you to think deeply about morality and right vs. wrong, but I don’t think this is the movie to do that well. When you want a cop drama, you just want to watch a cop drama, you don’t really care too much for deep stuff.

Crime 101
Crime 101 (2026) - Rated 17 Mar 2026
I liked the premise and idea, felt like I couldn't take it seriously. I found it predictable and underwhelming. On top of that, the casting seems overinflated and used to attract audiences to a mediocre crime/thriller. The antagonist was shallow and didn't offer much of a threat to the protagonist imo. The guy was just cracked out and felt thrown in to give some kind of plot advancement. He had no motive other than, "I want to be bad and rich," as far as I could tell. Forgettable movie.
