Never played any of the games. This has some flaws and is almost too much of a comedy, but I had a lot of fun and was very entertained.

That was quite lame. Edgar Wrights style only shines through in some of the action scenes which all for sudden are rather goofy, while the rest of the film is dead serios. Mostly boring and forgetable.

I guess my expectations were a bit too high. The action and choreography is great and intense, but it does get repetitive and I never was at the edge of my seat, like I was with The Raid. It's a great martial arts spectacle, but it could not live up to the hype.

While reading the book it was clear that a movie adaptation will have to skip all the science parts for pacing reasons. I was ok with that. Unfortunately they also decided to make it way too goofy so you never get the feeling that anything is at stake. The movie still turned out fine and visuals are great, but similar to the Martian the source material is so much better.

I wanted to like this. The movie tries to fool you into thinking you are watching a whacky comedy, except nothing funny happens...and then it gets weirder and dumber. In a way the film is a warning that AI will produce more like this. Very meta I guess.

I will admit I laughed a few times, but it's mostly crap
