Quo Vadis (1951) - Rated 05 Nov 2008
Categoric breakdown of all clichés based on romantic and biblical values by the creation of a love story supported by such pure faith, symbolized by Saint Peter, that turns soppiness into moving reaction. Especial attention to the portrait of mad Nero, played by the wonderful Peter Ustinov.

Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) - Rated 05 Nov 2008
Striking development of the plot, astounding scenery and an inspiring, conducive and moving soundtrack that not only symbolizes each and every character, masterfully played by the actors, but also inserts the viewer right in the middle of action.

Three Colors: Blue (1993) - Rated 05 Nov 2008
The best of the Three Colors sequel. Beautifully built on color schemes and, especially, on the ever present contrast between two different times and two different perspectives, represented by a sudden blackout that takes place in a few scenes. As if this wasn't enough, an incredibly amazing soundtrack sets the tone and the mood of the filmic narration.
