Slow-paced movie dealing with social themes. It is reminiscent of de Sica's Ladri di Biciclette, in which the bicycle becomes a symbol of life strugle. Main protagonists of both movies are determined to find the stolen bicycle and keep their jobs so they could make a living. This strugle results in the ultimate test of protagonists strength of characters. Film is interesting but it is too slow at certain moments.

The Maltese Falcon (1941) - Rated 01 Mar 2009

Great script, witty dialogues and remarkable Humphrey Bogart are strong points of this movie. Also Peter Lorre is very interesting. His acting is most notable in the scene in which he breaks and starts crying and weeping upon finding out that the hawk is counterfeited.
