94 55% The Dark Knight (2008) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"It is such a tragedy that Heath Ledger was unable to see the phenomenal outturn of this film. It looks as though he has been practicing this job for years, which really highlight the talent of a truly great actor. I only wish he could have shared that will all of his fans. Even though it has been nearly a year since the movie came out, it is still being played constantly by devoted fans. The only thing I'm thrown off to is how deep Batman's voice is! It's so awkward!"
70 5% Saw IV (2007) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"How do they keep doing it! It seems as though each Saw gets so much more in depth than the last! Who would be sitting in their office thinking of ways to torture someone who may have done things we could have potentially done ourselves! The Saw movies really have you rethinking all of the decisions you make in life for the purpose of not having to be put in such a vile situation as punishment of your choices. It's really a scary movie! I wouldn't reccommend it for children."
100 90% A Walk to Remember (2002) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"There is truly nothing better than to see a romance which is not based on anything but love to come alive on the big screen. Mandy Moore and Shane West did a phenomenal job portraying the parts of Landon and Jamie. You find yourself being heartbroken at the turn of the movie, and forever remembering the quote that really summed up the movie. "Love is like the wind. You cannot see it but you can always feel it." Nicholas Sparks did a brilliant job in creating this story."
80 20% Napoleon Dynamite (2004) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"To be completely honest, watching this movie would make you think of it to be a cinematic disaster. However, when it is over, you find yourself to be quoting it all of the time! You really do hear the phrases "Freaking idiot, gosh!" and the occasional "Tina you fat lard" which really does make the movie a success. The only movies I can think of being quoted as much as this one are the movies by Shakespeare! Eventually, it does get old, but it was a blast while it lasted."
98 75% The Sound of Music (1965) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"This movie may be a tale about a strict family who is brought together by a governess, but it really highlights the problems that people had because of the Nazi's. The movie is really easy to sing along with, and is a joy to watch. Sometimes you may find yourself humming some of the tunes in your car, and laughing at all of the humor. I particularly love the song about "My favorite things" because it really does help during a horrible thunderstorm!"
80 20% Purple Rain (1984) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"This movie really captures the trials a tribunes that Prince and his band had to go through. Although, there are some scenes in the movie which seemed awkward to shoot, and a little unnecessary; such as the scenes when Prince's lady friend jumps into the lake and is then left by Prince. However, teenage girls are likely to fall in love with Prince's humor in the movie, and his undoubtful talent that he possesses. I could never get tired of the movie, and his legacy will live on."
100 90% Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"How can you not want to see a movie with a young teenage actor who has become so handsome and talented! Shia LeBeouf has really become a wonderfully talented actor who really plays the part in the film. Although he and the Megatrons may be terrorized by the Decepticons throughout the movie, the director really did a wonderful job capturing the suspense as to who would win the battle. I would highly reccommend this movie to and action movie goers, and to future generations to come."
85 35% Twilight (2008) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"What else could a teenage girl want then Robert Pattinson as a vampire heartthrob? However, The actress playing Bella lacked in so many ways, almost bring the film down. There are areas in the movie in which it seems the two are simply reciting lines, rather than acting out the emotions. However, the action scenes in the movie really make up for her lost cause. Hopefully we will see a new Bella, but Robert Pattinson will keep us coming back for more. READ THE BOOKS!"
90 45% Peter Pan (2003) - Rated 29 Aug 2009
"A great childrens movie which highlights the life a kid who never wants to grow up. Some areas of the movie are a bit unnecessary long, such as the revival of Tinker Bell which takes what seems to be hours. However there was some good humor in the film which can be appreciated by adults, such as the confusion between a thimble and a kiss, which some children are almost guaranteed to overlook. This movie is almost guaranteed to be in the DVD player when children are around."
95 65% The Phantom of the Opera (2004) - Rated 27 Aug 2009
"This film really captivates the emotions felt by each of the characters. Gerard was especially pleasing with his superb singing and acting. However, it seems as though the actress playing Christine was not meant so sing some of the high notes, which had me turning down the volume of my tv often when she sang. The movie was very seductive and a joy to watch."
