The Worst Person in the World
A woman, stuck between previous 'women role' and modern day 'women role', trying to find her way through her emotions, rather than her logic. Despite the main character diverges from the ordinary women by her relations with her family, the main point is the clash of two opposing understandings of gender role, (sometimes, male role is also included but female is much more focused) and that, the modern day women is living in this contradictions of today. This point is also given between the lines, on an example on women sex, we don't know much about female, as much as male issues. The good side of the movie, it tries to cover the 'topic' kindly, objectively, not being didactic or over criticizing, and not taking side as well. Also give away the fact that the male character, who is representing the previous male role is dying suddenly, as world changes. Movie gives this male role, not as macho as an 50's as John Wayne or Charlton Heston, but who has become more civilized, modern through city life, who tries to solve the problems without using male dominance but with the use of communication but still carries the anti-feministic view, but doesn't show it necessarily, is ending, or should end. Not a cinematic marvel or must-watch movie, but people interested in these topics can give a chance.
Mini Review: A woman, stuck between traditional 'women role' and modern day 'women role', trying to find her way through her emotions, rather than her logic. The main point for me is the clash of two opposing understandings of gender role, (sometimes, male role is also included) and that, the modern day women is living in this contradictions of today.
