- The scene I was talking about in my mini-review about accomplishing something is the extended fight scene between Paul and Cary. It keeps going and going, and yet it was always entertaining and didn't feel stupid.

- In terms of the chaos, I just mean that the dynamic between the four is always changing and is funny because of it. That Carey just accepts all of Ashley's lovers in his house and becomes friends with them leads to some of the best parts (MOVIE NIGHTS THURSDAYS, as one says).

- While I don't think the romance elicits crying or anything, I think it's much funnier than many romantic comedies I've watched, and I still cared about the couples.

- Ultimately though, a comedy (which I think this falls cleaner into, even though it's based around marriages) just has to be funny. And this got audible laughs a bunch of times from me, and I don't generally laugh out loud during movies that much. So while it's not the funniest movie ever, it is better than most comedies in 2025.
Mini Review: One of the funnier movies I've seen this year. Some of the jokes and reoccurring gags got me. There are certain moments where Splitsville accomplishes things that other comedies try but fail at. The main four all have good chemistry. Absolutely chaotic at times both narratively and in how it's shot (the occasional long takes really cement it). And though it ends like a romance movie is expected to, I enjoyed how it got there and wanted it to happen.
