Score from distant memories. This low-key Cold War thriller does not have a Cold Warrior sensibility, which in 1979 felt distinctly refreshing. Was called CHARLIE MUFFIN when I saw it. In the opening scene, the protagonist is casually reading a copy of the Communist Party of Great Britain's 'Morning Star' newspaper, seemingly to highlight his distinction from his upper class twit colleagues in British intelligence.
