Season 1 - On her first day at Nishi High School, 15-year-old Hiromi Oka is inspired by top player Reika "Ochoufujin" Ryuuzaki to take up tennis. Shortly after joining the school's tennis club, she encounters Jin Munakata, the club's new coach. Munakata puts everyone under rigorous training that even puts Ochoufujin to shame. Tears at the District Qualifying
Regional preliminaries begin, and Hiromi is filled with dread. There to cheer her up is the kind Takayuki Todo. And Madam Butterfly gives her favorite racket to Hiromi. Go now, Hiromi! Keep your eye on the ball! On the brilliant, white court, Hiromi's spirit trembles fiercely.
Confrontation at the Tennis Court
In the middle of her match, Hiromi gets a leg cramp and falls to the ground. Kyoko Otowa, full of contempt for Hiromi, demands the coach let her play a practice match. The winner will be the one to play in the next tournament. Hiromi is fired up, ready to do her best!
