Season 2 - 17 years ago, immortals first appeared on the battlefields of Africa. Later, rare, unknown new immortal lifeforms began appearing among humans, and they became known as "Ajin" (demi-humans). Just before summer vacation, a Japanese high school student is instantly killed in a traffic accident on his way home from school. However, he is revived, and a price is placed on his head. Kei and the others try to stop Almeida's car before it gets to the U.S. Embassy.
Tosaki manages to get his team allowed into the building where Sato's next target is. Just as the clock ticks closer, a truck rushes in and sets off an E.M.P. bomb, rendering all electronics and new anti-Ajin guns useless. Sato charges in for an old fashioned gun fight.
The Anti-Ajin Special Forces have the advantage, but Sato begins to turn things his way.
The U.S. government offers assistance to the Japanese for the fight against Sato.
The U.S. military plan to use nerve gas to kill Sato, but he is expecting them.
Although he was caught off his guard, Sato has one last plan: to kill the rest of the team.
