Marriage isn\
Brothers Asahi Sato (Satoshi Tsumabuki), Hikari (Hikari Mitsushima), Yo (Tasuku Emoto), and Duan (Shuhei Nomura) live in an old house in downtown Tokyo. Since their parents died early in their lives, Asahi, the eldest son, has been raising the brothers as a surrogate parent. Asahi, who is stubborn and old-fashioned, always says that he is the one who has raised them, but this is bothersome to the brothers.
Return of the Second Son
The Sato family is thrown into turmoil when Satoru (Eita) returns after being released from prison. Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) and Yo (Tasuku Emoto) refuse to allow him to live with them, and Duan (Shuhei Nomura) angrily claims that he had to drop out of high school because of him. Hikari (Hikari Mitsushima) watches the exchange. Hikari (Hikari Mitsushima) is watching the exchange, when Yoh points out that the problem is Dawn's attitude, which shows no sign of repentance for her sins.
Sour Secret
Back at the Sato family home, Akemi (Eita) goes on and on about his justification for not working and repeatedly picking up girls at night. Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) sharply criticizes him for bragging that he has met a rich woman and is aiming for a reverse fortune. He dismisses her argument, saying that people work no matter how hard it is, but Yo (Tasuku Emoto) counters that working until one has to put up with it may lead to a loss of identity.
Don\
Asahi Sato and Azusa Sawabe signed their marriage certificate while being watched over by their younger siblings including Akira (Eita). A month later, tickets and flyers for the play “Hiryuden,” which Yo is directing, are ready. However, Asahi complains that he should quit acting and get a job to help the struggling family finances. When Yo retorts that it is out of line to ask him to give up his dream because he cannot find a job, Akemi, Hikari (Mitsushima Hikari) and Duan all agree with her.
As a Parent
Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) rushes to take his wife, Azusa (Yu Aoi), who collapsed in front of their house, to an emergency hospital. The doctor diagnoses anemia due to placenta previa. Asahi is worried when he hears that there is a possibility that the baby may be premature and have a very low birth weight, but he is relieved to hear that there are cases of normal births.
A Man and a Woman
Tanto Sato, who is now dating Kasumi Nagahara (Ai Hashimoto), gets carried away. Yo (Tasuku Emoto) sees this and sarcastically says that he hopes he doesn't stumble in his exams. Hikari (Hikari Mitsushima) is invited by Masaomi Shinjo (Hidetaka Yoshioka) to a live performance by Lisa Loeb. Lisa Loeb is a singer/songwriter whom Shinjo has loved since his school days. Hikari is delighted and buys a large number of CDs and begins to prepare for the show. Asahi tacitly approves of her.
About to be Born
One morning, Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) and Azusa (Yu Aoi) are arguing over the name of their child. Azusa, who is disappointed with Asahi's idea, suggests that they name their child after the image of the sun, like Asahi and his siblings. Asahi begins to think of a name that starts with “A” and evokes the image of the sun, like Asahi and Azusa. Meanwhile, Tadashi (Shuhei Nomura) is shocked to realize that the bracelet worn by Yo (Tasuku Emoto) is the same as that of Kasumi (Ai Hashimoto).
Losing Heart
Asahi Sato (Satoshi Tsumabuki) is relieved that his daughter Akari's condition has stabilized. Asahi is so happy that he talks to Akari about this and that, and Azusa (Yu Aoi) watches him with a smile. Then, an incident occurs: a naked picture of Kasumi (Hashimoto Ai) leaked on the Internet. When Yo (Tasuku Emoto) asks Kasumi what happened, she reveals that she took the picture with Duan's (Shuhei Nomura) cell phone camera. When Yo questions him about it, Danto admits that he took the picture an
For the Sake of Others
Dawn (Eita) is concerned that Takako's (Masami Nagasawa) face has recently been glowing whenever she receives a text message on her cell phone. When Dawn returns home, she finds Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) with a swollen face, who is being treated by Azusa (Yu Aoi). She says that she got into a fistfight with a customer who had groped her while she was working as a security guard. Azusa scolds Asahi, telling him to be more aware of his fatherhood. Another day, Asahi and Azusa are briefed by Shinjo
Supporting Each Other
Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) holds up Akari, whose condition has stabilized, as Hikari (Hikari Mitsushima) and Azusa (Yu Aoi) look on, and she cries manically. A month later, Asahi is frolicking in the living room of the Sato family. It is about time for Akari to be discharged from the hospital, but then Shinjo (Hidetaka Yoshioka) calls him and says that there is no doubt about it. Akashi (Eita) and the others are puzzled, but Asahi refuses to listen to them. Later, Asahi visits the hospital with A
The Departure
When Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) is told by Takako (Masami Nagasawa) that a buyer has been found for the Sato family's land, he decides to sell it. His decision is vehemently resisted by Satoru (Eita) and others, but Asahi refuses to budge, saying that if he says he will sell it, he will sell it. Asahi then goes to the hospital with Azusa (Yu Aoi) and talks to Shinjo (Hidetaka Yoshioka), whom he meets there, about the land.
