Season 1 - Creating a robotic boy in the image of his recently deceased son Tobio, Professor Tenma thought nothing could go wrong now that his beloved child had been "reborn"... that is, until he comes to realize that this invention could never replace his son. Before long, however, the robot is kidnapped and spirited away to a robot circus in America, where he is soon rescued by Dr. Ochanomizu, and taken into his care. (myanimelist.net)

The Birth of Astro Boy
The "Birth of Astro Boy" is the start of electrifying entertainment for many future episodes. Before young Toby dies after a car accident he tells his father to build a robot just like him and to love him. Astro Boy is born and struggles to get used to his powers. He can fly and has strengths which get him in trouble with his father and those around him.
Astro Boy vs Atlas
A micro-robot attacks Zoran's operating system from the inside. Astro must shrink down to microscopic size and go inside of Zoran's system to fight the micro-robot and save his sister.
Robot Circus
After Astro Boy thinks he's disowned by his father he puts his trust into an owner of a circus who wants to exploit Astro Boy's robotic abilities.
Save the Classmate
Astro Boy goes to school to try to fit in as a normal being, but he meets with the opposition of his classmates who want robots out of the school. Astro Boy shows his superior powers and kicks butt in this full-color episode.
Atlas Lives Again
Astro Boy has a strange feeling before bad things happen. His robot parents are taken and he's out to rescue his parents. He takes on his nemesis Atlas who is bent on taking revenge on humanity.
Robot Land
Astro Boy saves the day again in this action-​packed full-​color story. Astro flies to the protection of another robot, an escapee from the evil Robot Land. But the other denizens of Robot Land aren't going to let this happen without a fight.
