So, this is one of the few episodes (I haven't seen any others yet) that showed African-American residents of Mayberry. I always thought it strange that a TV show set in North Carolina didn't feature or just show many black residents. In this episode, the 2 residents don't speak but you can clearly spot them in the crowd congratulating Barney. This is a fine episode showcasing the physical comedy of Don Knotts.
